So I was walking down the street one day when a ninja came up to me and was like hey you wanna be a ninja i was like yeah sure why not so he took me to a secret bar to have drinks so his pet rabbit could interview me then suddenly a bunch of robot nazi zombies came at us and i tried to run away but i got bitten by a zombie and killed the ninja's pet rabbit and the ninja was sad so he took out an arrow and threw it at me and i can't be a ninja anymore because i took an arrow to the knee :\

arrow was only fired at 3/4 power, even then what power was the box used? Im pretty sure I would be confident at being able to deflect an arrow loosed from a 30lb bow or less, however one coming a 50lb bow+ then you may as well take it to the knee...

He wouldn't be able to catch an arrow from a compound bow because the arrows travel to fast. This is more a demonstration of his reaction time then anything else

It's to obvious that he would catch it! The archer is aiming at a target not the guy and they were not far from each other, this showed that it was practiced. Now, catching a randomly shot arrow from far away and catching it is what your so called ninjas can do

ANYONE with decent reflexes should be able to do this at 15 to 20 yards and a 30# target bow. Just make sure your shooter is a good shot and can put it within a 6 to 8 in circle!

I am not a big fan of these kind of myth testing because it has to do a lot with abilities. For example if you asked if its possible for a human to run 100 meters in around 9.7 seconds, you would have said its not possible 20 years ago, but now people have done it. Likewise with our american ninja here. How do you know how good the best ninja has been in all of history?

why does it seem like the arrow isnt being shot at its fullest power from the bow? it kinda looks like one of those kiddy ones you find at gas stations. not enough force generated by the bow so the arrow has a visible arch. better yet, the draw length doesnt seem right and seems lowered to allow the guy to catch them.
