  • Hi, I'm just wondering if the electric connectors havent been taken off or manituplated for a long period of time, how do you "Help" ungunk them to remove it so you can totally undo your MAF sensor?

  • wow thanks for the video, very helpful

  • I have a question,Are mass airflow sensor and airflow meter are the same?If so, or not pls. asap. thank you...

  • they have the same function

  • I have a trouble code on my 1989 camaro v-6 . The trouble code reads ELECTRIC SPARK TIMING. Is that the same as an IGNITION TIMING?

  • its your knock(detonation) sensor its 36 bucks at pepboys i had the same problem with mine

  • COOL THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION

  • @lovemym16 your a fucking moron the est circut on a gm has nothing to do with the knock sensor!

  • @HunterCO1 Really I could sworn that a knock sensor detects preigniton(Knock) and the ECU ajusts the igniton timing as GM calls it Electronic Spark Timing to correct the condition .. The Code it a Code 43 on the V-6 Camaro and it has two items in the circuit other than the ECU. One is the Knock Sensor and the other is the ESC module Electronic Spark Controll Module. On OBD-1 GM cars Codes 41-43 Relate to igniton timing and all effect the ESC module. 41 ECS, 42 Cam sensor, 43 Knock sensor MORON

  • @lovemym16 its called the EST circut dipshit not ESC and it has nothing to do with the knock sensor. Code 42 always sets when you disconnect the brown wire with a black stripe to set base ignition timing. The EST circut is the return signal from the ECM to the ignition module to tell it how to adjust timing and dwell. If the ECM recieves a signal from the knock sensor it will adjust the EST to tell the module to retard timing. They are related but not like you stated you fucking moron!

  • @HunterCO1 You cant read can you, dumb fuck. I NEVER named the circuit, like you the dumb fuck, claim i did, I stated the two parts in the circut. Yes the CIRCUIT is called the EST cirucit but the service manual calls the Ignition Module the Electronic Spark Controll Module. Yes when you disconnect the Brn/Blk wire code 42 is set but code 42 was not the issue. He had codes 41 and 43, The same condition my car had a year and half ago.

  • @HunterCO1 Contiued: The Knock sensor was not sending a signal back to the ECU so the Ignition module was firing the cylinders at the wrong time wich caused the code 41, Since the both codes where present and the knock sensor is easier to fix I replaced that and BOTH codes cleared. And they are related just like I said, you even said it yourself! You just worded it differnt, "If the ECM recieves a signal from the knock sensor it will adjust the EST to tell the module to retard timing"

  • @lovemym16 LMFAO you are a complete fucking moron first off the knock sensor only sends a signal if it detects a knock you stupid fuck. Jackass just a hint I have made a living doing this for over 20 years if you really want me to continue makeing you look like a bigger ass than you already I have I will!

  • @HunterCO1 LOL ... Wow... easy there!

  • @lovemym16 Last but not least dipshit a knock sensor can not cause the cylinders to fire at the wrong time. You have no fucking idea how any of it works. If you claim a knock sensor solved a EST code that in and of its self proves your a complete fucking moron and full of shit!

  • @HunterCO1 Final: and I stated "a knock sensor detects preigniton(Knock) and the ECU ajusts the igniton timing as GM calls it Electronic Spark Timing to correct the condition " That would be retarding or advancing the timing just like you said would it not?Plus you dont know what was in the PMs that we disscused about his car that led me to believe it had the same condion as mine Now next time yoiu dont know the details of a completed repair that happend over a yeat ago Stay the fuck out.

  • @lovemym16 One more thing you might want to read what you typed you said a code 42 was a cam sensor and now all the sudden after two days you reply back and talk about the EST circut? My guess is you spent the last two day googleing your ass off trying to cover the fact you don't know WTF your talking about!

The original poster stated he had an EST code and you said to change the knock sensor moron. Plain and simple you have been busted as a typical fucking internet jackoff!
