I was stationed in Germany in 1955-7, and well remember the beautiful old (pre-war)
Auto Union limousines. I had an old MB 170-V during those years. I have always liked
Audis, and my son in law has one. Awesome.

I fell in love with the R8 when I saw it in Mainz-Kastel, Germany in 2007. It's not the priciest, not the fastest, but it has an allure that caught my eye and has never gone away! Es ist eine erstaunliche Maschine!
