  • I have to say I feel sorry for people like Kathy Sheran, and posters like LosAngelesWriter who believe the second hand smoke farce. How many employees anyway have lost tips, and bars and other businesses NOT on Native American Reservations, and that are not owner-operated bars, that have had to secretly ignore California's ban in the dozen years it has been in effect just to stay in business?

Way to go Sue Jeffers, for exposing the truth on these anti-smoking zealots!

  • Republicans and Democrats now BOTH make me sick. Sue Jeffers is such a republican tool and her voice makes me sick when I hear it on the radio.

  • snowboard987:

In fact smoke from tobacco is a statistically insignificant health risk.

LOL! NOT ONE DOCTOR would agree with that nonsense. Will Snowboard next argue the earth is flat?

  • Amazing how the harmful effects of smoke are even debated, it's as if Minnesota is in the dark ages. What's next, is the earth flat or round?

In California, the smoking ban was imposed and we have more bars and restaurants than before the ban.

Amazing how Sue Jeffers is actually defending cancer in the name of "business." It's all about MONEY to her.

  • Every statistic that came out of Kathy Sheran's mouth came from the bad science that is used to advance the smoke-nazis' tyrannical agenda and should not be accepted as fact.

By contrast, everything that Sue Jeffers said was truthful and accurate. Thank you Sue! please keep up the great work!

  • Smoke from a handful of crushed leaves and some paper that is mixed with the air of a decently ventilated venue is harmful to your health??

If anybody believes that, then I have a bridge I would like to sell them.

The only time second-hand smoke is harmful to your health is in the eyes of the beholder.

  • That senator reminded me of all the dweebs I avoided in junior high school for good reasons.

Go to church and sign up to teach Sunday school or something that might be of use.

  • Apparently, this is her payback for being picked on in high school!

  • You are so right.

I ask God to forgive me all the time for how I treated them on the playground and when I saw them eating paste and boogers at their desk.

Surely this karma payback will end soon for all of us being less than kind at the time.

We were only kids for heaven sakes grossed out by these weirdos.

I sure got a rude awakening being in Eastern Bloc countries in the 70's. I don't even have to look at my photo albums to remember the feelings I had. That Sen. brings all of them back.

  • Eating paste and boogers during youth apparently leads to a fascination with pee as an adult, too. I've been saying for years how creepy a society is that decides who has rights to employment or housing based on the contents of their bodily wastes!

  • Funny that you mention those things.

The antis seem fascinated with bodily wastes.

You all know the "peeing in the pool" soundbite they parrot, I'm sure.

I have to say the Senator in the video personifies and characterizes just about everything that is wrong about the antismoking movement.

On the other hand, it is easy to see that Sue Jeffers is a real person in contrast.

  • There is absolutely no danger to your health from second-hand smoke in a decently ventilated venue.

In fact smoke from tobacco is a statistically insignificant health risk.

    Carcinogens in second-hand smoke???

Hasn't anybody told the Senator that 'Poison is the the dose..emmissions from cars, etc.

Two Provincial governments have already passed laws that you can't smoke in your car when kids are present.

The anti-smoking cartel are targeting homes, apartments, condominiums, parks, beaches.

  • "Overwhelming" Checked their urine? How nice,

Jeffers had the good sense to get out of the business.

Jeffers called all the trump cards. There is more smoking among youth than I have ever seen in the last twenty years. No one has to smoke a doobie to be "anti-establishment" anymore.

  • And their queen was sitting right next to you!

  • Great job Sue! The Nanny State is Alive and well!
