after MGS4 Snake only had 6 months of life left before he passed away.

All I can remember from the ending of this epic game is what Big boss (Jack) told his son Solid Snake (David)

"Let go Snake, let go of the gun"

"I don't respect you as a soldier, but as a man"

"You are no longer a seed of war, no longer someones toy"

"Live your life"

and honestly will always remember what Naomi told David after GW was killed

"You have earned your rest Snake"

Solid Snake is a hero.

Why is it called "Sorrow", when we hear it during the happiest moments of the game? We hear it after the Patriots are destroyed, and we hear it when Rose reveals that Raiden's child is alive and she didn't marry Campbell.

@Sanguiluna It's called "Sorrow" because despite these joyous moments, there's still the underlying fact that Snake's body is dieing, yet it will release the mutated FOXDIE before then. It's about the bitter irony of Snake spending his entire life destroying machines of war, only for after his greatest achievement, there are only a few short days before Snake becomes the embodiment of everything he fought against. It's called "Sorrow" because even a happy ending has underlying sorrow.

@RaithTenjo Prior to Big Boss reconciling with Snake (which is the third time this song plays), Big Boss reveals that the FOXDIE WON'T mutate because the new strain is suppressing it, and that Snake has nothing to fear since he'll be dead long before the new FOXDIE has a chance to mutate and spread. Snake can rest happily, knowing that he's leaving the world in better shape than it was when he entered it.

What made this game great is how it connected you to the characters. Most war games just throw you into a situation and you just shoot people. With MGS4 along with the whole series it has connected you to the characters and was just not one of those general shooters that are out. Great series that will forever be remembered by gamers that have been playing since the first. Take your rest Snake you have earned it.
