  • does anyone have any info on the state of spain under Juana's rule? I am doing a project on her nd i cant find anything on Spain itself

  • A war-time orphan related to Catherine of Bourbon is abandoned at two weeks of age, mistreated for many years then saved and wed at age 13 to the next in line to the throne of France. She comes to a hostile husband and court. Her dowry is an unsigned deed to the city of Milan, Italy. Fast paced, the book is revelatory and laced with Catherine Di Medici's awesome high stakes negotiation skills with kings, their paramours, and a curious friendship with Nostradamus. Awesome story telling!

  • Amazing book, I have it I just need to find the time to read it.

  • I just read this book and it was absolutely amazing! C. W. Gortner is one of my favorite historical fiction writers now. Right now I have just begun The Confessions of Catherine de Medici, another one of his books, and I already love it. It's amazing. He's such a good author. I love this book and I hope it helps people see that history can be wrong--whether on accident, or on purpose.

  • @Tekirai I am so glad you love it. I have many books on Tudor Englad so let me know what you are interested in! I don't mind sharing books.. They start to pile up!

  • I Loved this book and would recommend it to anyone interested!

  • What a fabulous book! I have long questioned whether or not Juana was crazy, or if it was just a ploy by her husband and father to take the power from her. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the story of Juana.
