  • Vote Labour?! It wouldn't be any better than a vote for any of the other puppets!

Blair was just as bad, but in different ways. People need to stop giving politicians power over them and their country's money. Yes, get to the polling station, make you political statement. Vote for "None of the above". It is more effective than just not voting.

Aside from that, it's a pretty good track.

  • The wealth produced by the working people belongs to the working people. But the rich classes refuse to contribute their fair share to society anymore, that's why we're facing these cuts - not only in Britain, but anywhere else too.

  • ... our deficit is 150billion a year. And its because of your labour party and its over spending. They overspent BEFORE the banking crisis. You are a good speaker but you either don't understand the scale of the issues we are facing or are willing miss-leading people. People are hurt by the cuts, but the damage is far less than if our money becomes worthless.

  • @TheJinkedful

Then let the rich pay for it. Plain and simple.

  • Hoe noes

Teh guverment had see dat wii carnt afford a overbloated & largely ineffective public sector (the part of the economy that consumes wealth) whilst stifling & diminishing the private sector (the part that creates wealth).

But let's all talk about bankers (who were thrown stacks of cash by lie-bore).

  • @skeletorphd the idea that the private sector 'creates' wealth is part of the problem. the only bodies with the right to create money are governments, they pay workers, who then go and buy things, giving money to the private sector. What the private banks have been doing, is 'creating wealth' on by lending money they didn't have, and hoping the debt parcel wasn't in their hands when the music stopped. And they seem to have got away with it.

  • @TheClockworkPenguin But where does the government get the money to pay workers?

The only reason we have government is becquse of the Poor Laws.

Now, in an ideal world, people invent incredibly useful products and services that people need & a few things they want. In order to make them, they employ people who get paid enough to get what they need to survive & all is well with the world.

In practice, some people don't have jobs & some jobs simply can't payvenoigh to live on...

  • @TheClockworkPenguin ...Now because there is a massive decline in church donations, a law is passed forcing people to make donations which help the poor.

Eventually this system expands to cope with ever complicated needs & gets more expensive every day until some genius comes up with the welfare state. Then it gets REALLY expensive.

The banks weren't "creating wealth," they were fueling out of control consumerism which the labour government used to pretend we were...

  • @skeletorphd

    2. Govts have been around longer than the church, and taxes originally where used to raise funds for wars and the upkeep of rulers. Across several centuries western govts have slowly become more democratic and realised their duty to their citizens, not just the ruling class. Therefore your point about poor laws is patently false.

  • @TheClockworkPenguin ...better off when we were just building a huge pile of debt. The government knew this because they're doing the same, but everyone is happy so we'll deal with the debt later, just keep lending money. The banks think all this debt is huge profit down the line but predictably, it's not.

In the meantime, what products & services have we been making. Nothing. We get it all abroad because our "wealth" has come from the financial sector which is now broke.

  • @skeletorphd

    3. it is a common fallacy that Britain doesn't make things any more, but our manufacturing sector still accounts for a higher proportion of GDP than the finance sector. It appears small because it consists of many small firms, rather than the few giants that make up banking. This is unfortunate, because govt. grants/contracts invariably go to larger firms who can give nice pay-checks to the ministers old school chums.

  • @TheClockworkPenguin Look down your high streets, what shops are there?

They're all the same thing. If they're not foreign chains they're all companies offering the same products in already saturated markets. Coffee, supermarket, loans, restaurant, no win, no fee lawyers, mobile phones, etc and the internet isn't much better for britian.

So we stop buying things we didn't need anyway & those companies (themselves built by debts) go bankrupt.

    Who pays the overall debt?

  • @skeletorphd okay, well you made a lot of points there, so rebutting them may take a while, but here goes.

    1. govts can create money via the mint, a body tasked with printing money ,no-one else can do this. This can lead to more inflation unless value is also created, usually by extracting raw materials from the earth, or manufacturing something. As you rightly point out, the finance sector itself doesn't actually create value, but can simmulate money creation by creating debt.

  • the point of the video is we all knew things were going to be bad, it is they way that the conservative government is handling it thats shocks him. and so it should shock everyone, they are causing havoc to the public sector and going forward with stupid and weird policies. the government need to focus on fixing the economy, not wasting time messing with the NHS and bull shit free schools.

  • Where is the money going to come from you fucking div!

  • Where is the Monet going to come from you fucking div!

  • This rapper is a thick, ignorant and arrogant prick. Wtf does he know about politics??? wtf does any of us know about politics?? none of us have ever tried ruling the country with a trillion £s debt. How about supporting our leaders in hard times like these in stead of bitching about them?

Their making cuts cos we have fuck loads of debt and can't pay it back. If Cameron doesnt make cuts, we'll just go into even more debt, default and then we'll end up with nationwide poverty!! ITS COMMON SENSE

  • @esbernjakobsen wow your so naive m8 get a grip! what makes u so stupid is you actually believe the politicians and establishment ,after all this time u still believe in them and they actually care about us. Do some fucking research m8 and WAKE THE FUCK UP!

  • @1979mrbanana can you not face the facts mate. we're in debt we have to cut down on expenditure or we will default. do you understand what any of these words mean or are you some youtube gorilla? when you are in debt you cannot keep borrowing. cutting is tough on me and you but thats just the way it is! and learn to write- what is that word establishment doing in there?

  • @shacklock01..(cont).... privileges of the rich. Working class people will be forced to rely on charity.

  • @shacklock01..we know that New Labour no longer represents us and they will still carry on with privatisation and cuts to public services, but that does not mean people can't stand up and fight. Describing it as "modernisation and efficiency cuts" does not fool most people. The rolling back of the welfare state is a regressive policy taking us back to the conditions pre-1930's. The rich get richer and the poor poorer. We will be forced back to a time when Health and education were only privileg

  • class. had my pay cut 20% from 22k. 15 years in the job. coalition raping the poor. putting the 'n' in cuts

  • I'm 13 and yet because of all my knowledge on goverments during my life i've lost faith in them and as a result of this I never want to vote. However this guy makes me think that maybe in the future it's possible to get a new party that isn't corrupt and doesn't let ignorent mps in.

  • @Mac0901Games Well thank god you're not going to vote

  • @Adotdems Why because I don't like the party you support let me express my own opinion

  • @nextgensamug Stupid cunt.

  • Good work :)

  • Try Rap news if you like this

  • Nice work NxtGen, but I think you've missed some of the point. Yes, the Tories are cutting vital public sector jobs - but they're also cutting colossal waste. Go into the civil service and you'll find layer upon hundredth layer of pointless bureaucracy. It's the same in defence procurement. Labour created so many non-jobs for their union lackeys, and gave them pensions far in excess of what ordinary folk in the private sector get. The waste is vast. I have no sympathy for Marxist union bosses.

  • @EccentricRichard You are ignorant beyound belief! Marxist union bosses! have you been reading the daily mail? Alot of Union bosses (not all ie Bob Crow etc) are careerists who are too scared to standup to the government. The bankers caused the current problems, so why should normal people pay? Do some research before you go trolling.

  • Nice work NxtGen. As Rap should be. Issues without ego.

  • Don't listen to the harsh people making bad comments! Your very good NxtGen! Your lyrics are catchy!

  • @nextgensamug

    Racist troll is racist.

  • doesn't matter what vehicle is used to educate young/next generation of voters, the fact that it will is enough of a reason to use 'their" language/music.perfect tool.

  • @nextgensamug you're the mug, pal! He's making some good points and communicating them in a way that's relevant to modern day Britain. Your attitude was out of date 20 years ago. Just because black folk invented rap does that mean whites aren't allowed to do it? The Greeks and Indians invented the mathematics we use. So I supose you're not allowed to use maths if you're not Greek or Indian?! Only Chinese folk allowed to use paper, gunpowder and toothbrushes, aye? Muppet.

  • Am an old grey, don't listen to rap ( or Frank Sinatra...who? ), but really impressed with this lad, binman still?. As for ALL political parties; They are all the same, their priorities are: to further their own lucrative political careers. I am old enough to have seen the circus come to town too many times, each time a different clown, blowing hot air into balloons and running round a circle destroying everything, they are not funny but they still get applause ( votes), stop clapping.

  • Great job bro, im loving your movement and wish you the best!

  • Can i just say, hero. Awesome bars and amazing understanding, amazing truth.

  • People we are in this together the corporations are the systems that overrule us and everyone. Politics make me so angry that i'd want to jump up ROAR of top of my lungs and kick the table in half. Big up from finland.

  • yes, the banks messed up but so did the NHS.they spent loads of the money that the government gave them, not on improving the system. And anyway, the public sector cant support itself without borrowing money, which is why the cuts are happening in the first place! Anyway, labor is still cutting, but the process will take longer. Why not get this over with?

  • Comment removed

  • i thought you weren't political, but what was that reference about voting labour?

  • The Green Party is the only party that hasn't sold its soul to neo-liberalism.

  • have been left suffering in LEICESTER NHS they wouldnt do a procedure to me and had to fly to Poland to get .Pay a mortgage and rent 2 lots of gas electric and pay thousands out LEICESTER would not do.Many with ms are left to suffer n die

  • Great rapping!! with some lyrics summing up the current twisted version of democracy, get this playing on the picket lines on Wednesday 30th November. The strike at this time maybe for Pensions, but the bankers bonuses, tax avoiding fat cats, war mongers, unethical money makers and corrupt Cllr/ MP's Expenses are other reasons, if you need them. Stand up and be counted, families, friends, neighbours gather your support for the STRIKES AHEAD!!!!

  • Labour are hardly perfect.....different name, same shit

  • This guy is a good politics rapper because he is neither on right or left. He just has something to say about the fools who were in charge throughout the ages.

  • they wont act in front of the cameras, and there tryin' to kill us of like the publics cancer', act faster- be a jedi, take out cameron the dark side master. the rich peoples cash get greater' the publics differnce go throo' ia cheese grater' nd' when i get millionare neighbours- uh- im still guna vote for labour. just open your eyes and look, were just guna b' stuck in a war if they make these cutts. the publics sector faces depression, but not the sector that caused the reciesion

  • hi my names next gen and im back, im the one who did the andrew lansley rap yeh i hammerd 'im' back with a bang again now im 'guna' take out the main man cameron, MC rapping MP attaking im not political but i stand up for the mandem, and these rap attacks are not random, im just sick of these condems. the one who cut the lower cutts like sandwhiches and still give the bonuses to the bankers, their pulling the paws down like anchors im anger taking it out is their answer...

  • The Lib Dems treachery will live on infamy, it will enter folklore so as to warn future generations.

  • I agree, more needs to be done on the bankers who caused the crisis but the LibDems are the reason why the tax threshold is being raised to £10,000 which is going to take 800,000 people of income tax altogether and millions more a tax break of £200. Should we be doing more, yes.

Also if you look closely at the fees package, the repayment scheme is better than the current one. People who earn less will pay back less, those who earn more will pay back more.

  • Awesome. thank you

  • Who is Johh Galt?

  • I've generally found that people of all ages ARE interested in POLITICS, just NOT POLITICIANS.

  • Oh, and up until the banking crisis (which virtually no-one saw coming, and certainly not the Tories, btw) the Tories were saying that they would match Labour's spending "pound for pound".

  • I completely agree with this tune, mate.

Could go into a LOT of detail about why I simply don't believe these cuts are needed, or that they all Labours fault, and why I don't think Cameron or Osborne are telling the truth AT ALL. I don't believe anything that comes out of their mouths.

But this is YouTube, so I will just say EVERYBODY STAND UP IF YOU'RE AGAINST THE CUTS!!!!

  • feelin this a lot

  • It is seriously sexy to hear a rapper using his talents to try and motivate a disenfranchised youth to actually stand up against what the ConDem coalition are doing to our country. I see other people have criticised you for saying you would vote Labour in your lyrics, they're not the best, but in the next election they are the only viable way of ousting the Tories which HAS TO BE DONE. I fear by then we will have no Welfare State left and will be in the midst of a second financial meltdown.

  • Labour are better than ConDem... but they still slaughtered how many million Iraqis, etc... They are all part of the same problem - the current political system.

  • good tune, good rhymes. keep it up

  • A vote for the greens is an unmatched vote for the Tories. All right, it depends where you live, but voting for the greens (or Monster Raving Loony or Socialist Facial Hair Party or whatever) can have the opposite effect from what you want, so watch out. The Lib-Dems were the third party, remember.

  • Sick

  • yes bruv - put lufbra on da map!!!!!

  • Join Anonymous.

  • VOTE GREEN

  • Get the message Unison..

  • Fuck Labour,the Tories,the Lib Dems,the IMF,European Union,Goldman Sachs,JP Morgan and all of that.Real Democracy Now.

  • @monkeyspantry Real democracy is every single person being asked about every single decision the Government makes, or to have no Government and a completely "Libertarian" society (a society without NHS, Education or anything else provided by the state). If you want real democracy, then first try and participate in our current system (join a party for example) rather than simply call for a new one without knowing what the new one should be like.

  • @zbox720 You make huge assumptions as to my beliefs and background. Our current system is financially and morally bankrupt, you know it,i know it.If you're dishing out the advice, here's some for you in the same spirit- stop collaborating with a system that is broken and help build anew.

  • @monkeyspantry Build a new what exactly? A new socialist paradise? Such as Cuba, North Korea or even China? Sorry, but having visited some of these countries I'd far rather live here, for all of this systems flaws, than in one of these countries? Or are you not advocating Socialism or Communism at all? You fail to make it clear what you actually want other than "real-democracy" which again is a hugely ambiguous term.

  • @zbox720 I was making my opinion known, which i have the right to do what with this not being North Korea, not setting out a manifesto. This is Youtube mate, chill your boots or have you failed to see that?

  • @monkeyspantry Yes, you do have the right, and I should probably cool off lol, but I do want to know what you mean by "real democracy now", partly because I don't think any current system is perfect and I want to know your opinion. Sorry that I was a bit aggressive though

  • @zbox720 Thats cool man no worries. We've become Youtube stereotypes which is kind of funny.Much love.

  • Vote Labour. It's as simple as that. Don't believe the rubbish that gets printed in things like the Daily Mail. The ones that blame the country's mess on Labour, I suppose it had nothing to do with the Worlds Stock Market crashing, or the Banks gambling our money away. They also seem to forget that Tory's got us into the EU! Vote Labour.

  • @OceansApprentice alright, fair enough, I'm not sayig don't hate the tories, obviously hate them.

Labour are better than the tories, but not by enough.

  • We need more music with a political conscience - Nice One NxtGen!

  • I don't think the jedi/star wars reference works, but otherwise excellent stuff. The Unison members are inspiring -the real backbone of the country.

  • @OceansApprentice stuck with three rightwing parties with different coloured rosettes because voting for a smaller party is mostly useless too because of the fucked up system we have. Shit is fucked.

there are still SOME good people in Labour, but not enough. Labour needs to remember who they are supposed to represent.

  • @OceansApprentice Labour brought more markets into healthcare, they brought in PFI, they brought markets into education, they brought in ATOS, demonised the unemployed, the disabled, the sick to keep Mail/Express etc readers happy (they'll never be happy). One thing the coalion say that isn't a fucking lie is that they're carrying on New Labour policies.

Now Miliband condemns strikes to keep Mail/Express etc readers happy (they'll never be happy).

But not voting is useless, so we're stuck

  • Please tell me lol

  • Lol ok then, who should i vote for??

  • @NxtGenUK You've got it right mate. I'm a member of the Labour Party who often feels like I don't belong with many of the recent attitudes in the party, but nonetheless we're still the party of the people at heart and as earlier mentioned a cut by Labour is not ideological. Your music is exactly what the left needs right now. Quality

  • @villafan666 i think we need a socialist party for england

  • @villafan666

Hah, Labour stopped being a party of the people decades ago.

  • @NxtGenUK Look for the alternatives, look at who is fighting for the working class within your community. As a trade unionist and speaking from personal experience the only political activists that are out there fighting against the cuts are the Socialist Party, although I'm only speaking about my locality.

The Labour party is virtually invisible on the ground and as other people have mentioned simply do not have the working classes interests at heart.

  • @RaulRipp I live in Derby. I guarantee you that Labour are the party fighting fighting for the train workers. Labour are the only party that are regularly visible in working class areas here. If the same doesn't apply where you live i'd say it relates more to poor membership there than ideology

  • @NxtGenUK Well reformist politics kinda is the problem in the first place. If you really wanna vote, go green :)

  • @NxtGenUK Green Party

  • @Rjimppy How old are you? I'm 17 and got the common sense to realise if Green party went in they'd make such a fucking mess we'd wish we had Conservatives back (And that's saying something)

  • @omgsurfer I'm 18, the green party are very good left wing liberal support union rights support students what's not to like? They're not gonna fuck shit up as they've seen what's happened to labour and the lib-dems

  • @Rjimppy What's not to like? The current voting system. I'd vote Green if we had PR, but with FPTP, voting Green just causes a split in the left-wing vote, which helps the Tories get back in.

The Tories are taking a huge dump on the working classes, blaming a world-wide crisis on the Labour party (which is just stupid) and claiming that they are cutting the deficit and spending. They aren't. They are spending MORE than Labour did (aside from the bailout).

  • The Tories are following policies which don't work, have never worked, and never will work. And they are basing the case for doing so on lies.

  • @NxtGenUK the working class has always been shat on.....wasnt that long ago in 1919 people were shot dead for protesting in llanelli

  • @NxtGenUK

    The green party of course!

  • If you're for the working person how could you vote Labour? They just told union members to cross a picket line. Fuck them.

  • LABOUR???!! WHAT THE FUCK? I'm not about to call you a sell out,but ask the people of Iraq and Afghanistan, civil liberties organisations, oh i could list forever, what they think of labour???

  • I was a bit disappointed at the censorship on this one, is there any reason for the censorship or anywhere I can get it without censorship? Otherwise keep making songs they're good!

  • Great work bro!!

  • Aside from the main message, the sampling of 'Children' ain't bad either

  • We're all in this together.

But not in the way Cameron thinks.

  • Bought it on itunes. Well done NxtGen!

  • But surely the higher the bankers' bonuses are the more tax goes to the treasury....? Another example of the 'Edonomics' from Balls and Milibland.

  • @danielkenobi5 Only a fraction of a banker's bonus ends up in the treasury - the rest gets channelled into some tax haven somewhere no doubt!!

  • @danielkenobi5 have you never heard of white collar crime - tax evasion?

  • Robert Miles, 'Children' sample? Wicked.

  • you're still gonna vote for labour??? Please, the rest of this rap was great but they're just as tainted and self-serving, representing the bankers instead of workers - same cuts over a longer time span and all

  • @sneyton yeah, i thought that

  • Got here because of Billy Bragg as well, hehe. Really hope you succeed with the younglings. good work!

  • @jailbroketouch95 Billy Bragg sent me here too :) I'm normally not into rap but this is an exception. Nice work, NxtGenUK!

  • YOU HAVE A NEW FAN MATEY. BRILLIANT

  • Another brilliant piece from NxtGen! You are doing your country a great service doing this - more than you realise. Keep up the good work and down with the Tories!!!

  • Vote Labour!

  • 100% excellent. it doesnt matter that labour 'would have' done the same thing- fact is tories ARE doing it and spreading awareness is exactly what we need pure and simple. Our government is making war on us but people dont even know it cos they to busy reading the sun and watching biased bbc tory propaganda on tv. KEEP MAKING THE TUNES!

  • @gggggggod YES EXACTLY!

  • Sorry nxtgen but labour would have been no better.

Seems to me that you, like most young people now, have just become pissed off with politics.

It just happened to me. I'm moving to the next country in Europe that has a revolution, I can't stand this hypocritical, apathetic country any more.

  • @NicotineCrash Thank you! finally there is a sane person here. this attitude towards politics is driving me nuts!

  • hate the fact that labour is no longer one party. post-blair the gags have been taken off and the left is a bit less oppressed, but its still a party split between solid pro-working class people and the more elitist politician class. no point tearing up the general left with another SDP, but we'd be so much better off with a govt that actually represented the working classes :/

  • Excellent, really enjoyed, what talent. SOLIDARITY.

  • MORE POLITICAL STUFF - make a track about Labour i beg u they need to get wrekced for their shockin behaviour.

  • APPLAUSE :0) xxxJoolsxxx

  • Very good and very important. Keep it up NxtGen. Our generations Billy Bragg.

  • fucking sick dude! x3

  • Shoulda got someone to sing the chorus for you....

  • proud to call you my older brother :) xxxxxx

  • I'm a huge fan. Loved the Andrew Lansley rap, and love the message of this one. You're speaking for our generation man! Also, you're still totally hot. :) x

  • y is this couuntry run by people who are taught how to lie to us politican is effectivly the meaning of lies, time for a change this country shud be run by specalists that know what there doing like economists and enviromentalists not silly politicans who know just as much as you and me about running a country i

  • "The Public Sector will head into depression, but not the sector who caused the recession" very true

  • Awesome tune and message!

  • If you actually believe that the economy is solely down to Labours fault, then you are completely clueless and clearly believe everything you read. I suppose it had nothing to do with the world wide stock market crashing, or the banks gambling away our money. Labour WOULD be cutting, but cutting the right things at the right speed!

  • Tory twats.

  • Support your local action this Thursday!

All are affected here... solidarity from Cambridge!

  • Nice, feeling the message. Don't I agree with you about voting Labour though. They've shown their true colours, Ed Miliband recently demonising the unemployed & disabled and besides they started tuition fees and the marketisation of education. Try this if you want anti-cuts hip-hop. Search for "Verbal Terrorists No Ifs No Buts" bit of a different persepctive on the same theme

  • NxtGen is the man! One of only a few musicians out there today with a political voice. We need more like him. Keep up the good work buddy.

  • Well done NxrGen! Support the protests on 30 June!

  • Siiiiick.

However it is my understanding that the TRUE cancer, is that of the system itself.

    The monetary system.

It demands inequality, pollution, consumption, classism and war just for it to work!!

There is a humane alternative, a different economic system, for the betterment of ALL humanity and not just a select view: /watch?v=4mkRFCtl2MI

Peace, Love, and most importantly, Sustainability

    X

  • On the 30th of June there will be huge protests around the country against these ideological and unnecessary cuts to education, that will affect EVERYONE.

The biggest one in London, 11:30 LINCOLNS INN FIELDS TO PARLIAMENT SQ. Spread the word.

  • @becksblue100 Do you know if there are any in the North West of England?

  • Great stuff. Respect. Shared and shared....

  • NEXT ANTI CUTS PROTEST 30TH JUNE 11:30 LINCOLNS INN FIELDS TO PARLIAMENT SQ!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fabulous! ;-)

  • MORE! MORE! MORE! ................... PLZ?

  • Bangin' bruv. Standing with you and the rest of the working classes to say no.

  • like it, but Labour would be cutting too, and aren't really helping right now with telling unions not to strike

  • @ncleggman10 agreed. Great tune though. Well done NxtGen!

  • @ncleggman10 but where and how they'd be making the cuts would be different. All the people who voted Tory have no fucking right to complain. I mean seriously... what did they expect?!

If we had the Lib Dems actually in proper power and not the Tories' lap-dogs then maybe things would be different. I've thoroughly lost faith in this country.

  • @ncleggman10 it is the incredibly stupid pace and damage of the cuts that the labour wouldn't be doing.

  • @ncleggman10 exactly... why bother vote labour they dont represent the working class.

  • @ncleggman10 There's a difference. A Labour cut is a cut to keep the economy going. Labour don't believe that a person's job is a price to pay for good stats - The Tories do. A ConDem cut is a cut to idealogically shrink the public sector.

  • @ToManyPhones so you think people see a difference when labour shuts down a surestart centre compared to when a lib or a tory does it because labour will feel bad about it?!! you're in cloud cuckoo - people will just see their surestart shutting down and blame whoever shut it. And as for labour cuts keeping the economy going.......i think you missed the point. we didnt cause the mess so why should we be sent the bill?! i.e. don't give us cuts, get to grips with the 123bn annual tax gap

  • @ncleggman10 yes but the cuts under Labour would not be as harsh

  • excellent!

  • :) this will probably go viral like the other vid (:

  • Sick

  • Excellent. Keep hitting the spot like this and you'll make me like rap yet ;)
