My father was a mover back in the 70s and he moved Cat Steven's mom. She gave him a tape of Cat writing this song...working on the piano and writing these words. She was so excited about this "new" song he was writing. It was so amazing to listen to this tape when I was little..then to hear the finished product on the radio. It felt like we knew him!

This most bueatiful song, reached the top position here in Vanouver Canada for 2 amazing weeks. That's quite an accomplishment when you think, as this dosen't at all sound like a typical pop standard. Inotherwords can you see Kenny Chesney at the top of the pop charts with "She Thinks my Trators Sexy", I wish it would of been there, but anyway I bought Morning has Broken, new in May 1972 and I don't regret it and deservingly it was right to have played it on radio stations CKLG & CKVN! lol
