I don't know who this woman is,but she clearly cares about relevent issues.It's all well and good to care about issues such as the environment,animal welfare etc,and of course they are important.But absolutely NOTHING should be placed above child/youth welfare.To force a child/youth into homelessness because they are LGBT is just an abomination,it truly is. We must value ALL young people not try to make them feel worthless! Shame on any parent who treats their offspring in this vile way!

I didn't realize that gay youth homelessness is such a problem... That makes me appreciate Kate even more as she got involved in a charity that is not as popular as e.g. feeding African kids or saving endangered species. Her help will draw more attention to the problem, and, hopefully, make some difference. I am truly touched and my heart is with those kids.

look at how happy those kids were to see her! she really brightened their day. and this is such a wonderful organization. i knew there was a need for these types of organiations, but thinking about it, you only hear about that type of thing in NYC, LA, San Francisco, ect... how about the small towns and other places where they're needed. im glad she's bringing awareness to this issue.
