@erwinio007 depends on your system's specs. NIS2010 is actually highly efficient, but like any program it will not run well on a very low spec machine (in that it will "run" in the way a turtle "runs"). If you're running a netbook or a low-spec machine, check out Norton for Netbooks instead.

I had Norton Anti-virus 2007 and my computer just suddenly got the mssg.:"your computer is being attacked" after logging into a movie website. Now, I have the latest version, Norton Internet Security 2009 but it still failed to protect it from Trojans and worms. I'm thinking of whether to subscribe to either AVG or Kaspersky.

@thepredatorwinner 360 is (correct me if I'm wrong) just a backup, Utilities and NIS bundle, right? With Norton Online Backup space thrown in? I'm not entirely sure why people even need those features. I think a lot of people would find NIS more than adequate, but they get 360 because they see the features and go "ooh, backup!". My gf was using 360 for backup and NIS, until I showed her how to do Windows backups, so she just got NIS. But if you like using 360 I assume you've got your reasons :)

Try mentioning ANTI SPYWARE instead. And when you install protection software, get some other kind of protection software other than Norton, Kaspersky, AVG, Windows Live OneCare, BitDefender, and other common programs. But just becareful that you don't download a FAKE ANTI-SPYWARE!

sounds like its over heating, clean all the dust out of your machine and install some fans... and run something like spybot search and destroy to check for spyware

well if one put it on the back of the case blowing out of the case, causing air to come in from the front and hot out of the back and/or one on the front as well sucking air into the case.

I use KIS in my main PC and NIS in my laptop and NIS caught BOOT.EXE which KIS totally missed.

Anyway, we all know there is no perfect solution and I'm very happy with both products.

Also McAfee does a great job in the detection rate department.

Avast Professional Version 4.8 is awesome. Though the thorough scan is slow as hell, I use it with SUPERAntiSpyware Pro and MalwareBytes Pro, I've paid for all 3 and its an awesome combo.

Norton protects the wireless internet from VIRUSES jackass. I know that. That's how I got wireless on my laptop AND my desktop because its password protected. The password is under the router. I'm used to using the net and computers so I know this jackass. Think before you open your mouth again.
