Although there is lots of people that talk that shit... I have to admit, everytime I have doubts about a product and need an extensive review, I always find myself coming back to nutnfancy's channel. This channel always gives me a great overview of what I am looking for with great detail and scrutiny and alot of people, especially over the web think they know a product, but when they can only say 2-3 words on it's behalf, it shows you the opposite. the same cannot be said about nutnfancy.
only complaint i have about 5.11 is there boots are pretty damn horrible, I got there HRT boots only lasted 3 and a half months before them falling apart. However i have gotten a second pair to give them a fair try once more guess we will see how that works out. If they do the same pretty much wasted 230$ and will be going back to rocky's.

The pants rock. I went 4 miles up, 4 miles down during near 0 temperatures while snowing and the pants kept ALL of the moisture out. I had no snow pants on just a thermal layer underneath and they were great. I laid down in the snow for lunch and even slid down a few hills on my ass with 5 or so pounds of equipment in or on the pants themselves. They're great.
I have just paused this at 9min and am pleased to see Nutn pressing this guy on the cons as well as the pros of the 5.11 kit. what is just as impressive are his response to CUSTOMER FEEDBACK, excellent job NUTN. Brit Vet!!!
just so you know at about 12:45 when you talk about seeing them in px and bx's they are at least on my base anyway. they have a solid two ailes of blackhawk and 5.11 gear. figured youd like to know that and goes to show what the Marines on base are asking for

@aurelrica I really don't know. Maybe through a 2nd hand distributor that would label the gear differently? Or maybe you could arrange to pay some kind of extra tax with customs? A last try would be to get some kind of license? Hopefully Italy might have new legislation that would allow more gun options in the near future.
Italy does not allow civilians to own anything to be considered military equipment so there is no chance if your customs agents have it labeled as such.

The video mentions the LBE holster being mounted vertical or horizontal, but after looking at the pictures on 5.11's website, I don't see how you can mount it horizontally. Anyone see something I'm missing?
@ YokoWenis, I believe if you get a serpa or some other holster that rotates to diff angles you will be fine, I know some holsters can rotate to 45 degree angles, straight up, horizontal etc... Maybe that is what the video is referring to?
The only way I can figure out to do it would be weaving the slicksticks and then using malice or strike clips to cross those at a 90, but yeah, I saw the same thing and was trolling comments for an answer.

Cops look like cops all the time. 5.11 is one of the tell tell signs of a federal or local LEO. The modular drop leg rig was too flimsy to use from a vehicle ie MRAP, ASV and Humvee.
That guy is a very good salesman but - dude - lose the Bluetooth! *Nobody,* and I do mean *nobody* wears a Bluetooth at all - let alone during a sales presentation.
As of a month ago 5.11 still had the plate carrier on clearance for $18 in black. Like Nutn points out in his table top, it runs out of real estate quickly but for the $ it can make a real nice grab and go vest. I'm very happy with mine. My first purchase based on a review by Nutn.
5.11 is a GREAT source for clothing and tactical gear. I love the Slick Stick system for attaching MOLLE gear, alot easier and better quality than MANY others that I have tested. And Ive been wearing 5.11 Tac pants for many many years, absolutely love 5.11 products.

Awesome interview. I recently purchased a couple plate carriers and pouches from 5.11. All I can say is that I am very impressed at the quality of their products.
Nutn, you always mention LEOs & Military, and its a tad disappointing that you neglect us close protection team members, and (I'm former) mercenaries and PMCs. Veri, honey, please remind your brother that many close protection teams are a lot more flexible in the gear and clothing we wear, and so are freelance mercenaries and to some degree PMCs, it'd be very nice to hear us mentioned in a way other than "Dude you look like a PMC!" The video mentions the LBE holster being mounted vertical or horizontal, but after looking at the pictures on 5.11's website, I don't see how you can mount it horizontally. Anyone see something I'm missing?

@ YokoWenis, I believe if you get a serpa or some other holster that rotates to diff angles you will be fine, I know some holsters can rotate to 45 degree angles, straight up, horizontal etc... Maybe that is what the video is referring to?

The only way I can figure out to do it would be weaving the slicksticks and then using malice or strike clips to cross those at a 90, but yeah, I saw the same thing and was trolling comments for an answer.

I hope they start a "stealth tactical" line. All of the benefits of quality tactical gear, durability, quick dry, etc. in a very civilian looking package.

As of a month ago 5.11 still had the plate carrier on clearance for $18 in black. Like Nutn points out in his table top, it runs out of real estate quickly but for the $ it can make a real nice grab and go vest. I'm very happy with mine. My first purchase based on a review by Nutn.

5.11 is a GREAT source for clothing and tactical gear. I love the Slick Stick system for attaching MOLLE gear, alot easier and better quality than MANY others that I have tested. And Ive been wearing 5.11 Tac pants for many many years, absolutely love 5.11 products.

I havent been able to find a crossdraw MOLLE attachment either.
Could you just sew the attachment straps on a 45deg angle so it attached at a 45 and doesnt pivot, but at a permanent 45deg angle?

Nutn, you always mention LEOs & Military, and its a tad disappointing that you neglect us close protection team members, and (I'm former) mercenaries and PMCs. Veri, honey, please remind your brother that many close protection teams are a lot more flexible in the gear and clothing we wear, and so are freelance mercenaries and to some degree PMCs, it'd be very nice to hear us mentioned in a way other than "Dude you look like a PMC!"
