the largest deficits in history, the most mortgage defaults since the depression, the biggest income gap since the 20s, crashing markets, fleeing jobs, no energy policy, a $700 billion dollar war, 7000 dead, and Bin Laden still out there.
8 years of Bush and 12 years of Republicans produced these disasters.
"It was never a concern by any of us in the Chicago school reform movement that he had led a fugitive life years earlier," said state Republican Rep. Diana Nelson, who worked with both Obama and Ayers.
"It's ridiculous. There is no reason at all to smear Barack Obama with this association. It's nonsensical."
Nelson says fellow Republicans "might snort when they hear the name Bill Ayers ... but I don't think anyone gives it another thought."
