My Sifu showed me this... absolutely brilliant! Just out of interest how long did it take you to animate all the moves? p.s. would have been even cooler with the Darth Vader breathing!

@FriedriceJR Thank you for your kind words. It took two weeks to hand animate the moves themselves, and an additional 4 days refining the motion as best I could. The animation was based on a frame by frame study of Master Shu Dong Li performing this form.

I would have liked to do the breathing, but could not find a good sound sample to work with.

What blows me away is;

1) The capture of lifelike human movement.

2) The 'drape' and physics (momentum/collision) of Darth's cape!

0:25 That looks suspiciously like a Bellator class battlecruiser. I know the guy who designed and painstakingly modeled that. I do dearly hope his permission was sought; the mess the last time someone just stole one of his models (the company Lucasarts outsourced The Force Unleashed trailer to; that Star Destroyer model was his) there was a horrible mess about it...

@RenegadePaladin I found images on Google and modeled it myself. I thought they were from star wars. Later I found the email address of the guy who modeled it and emailed him about it. I haven't heard back. No disrespect intended and there has been no payment or commercial interest on my part.

Nice. One cool thing about this is that it connects to the original Star Wars where Lucas tried to make the sword fighting as authentic as possible based on real Japanese sword forms. The later 3 SW's were a little more haphzard.and flashy.
