Flav sold out faster than the I phone, now he's a broke old nigger with nothing but a one hit wonder and a used whore, he was so afraid to make the video that he enlisted the help of the black panthers check the video again.

  • @SlayerVH You're a fucking idiot. Those are the S1Ws, retard.

  • My uzi weighs a ton

  • The Bomb Squad did one remix of a rock band though, Manic Street Preachers out of England. Repeat is the song , and it sounds like a PE song kind of...

  • what was great/is great about PE is the music wasnt not assmbled in ProTools, it was done with cheap digital samplers (they werent cheap then) and the samples were all hand cut om tape. Also, they had to find them. No sample cds to download and such. Ive had EVERYTHING PE did and each song is amazing to sit down and study. Instruments and riffs and weird sounds will drop in for just 2 measures and then disappear. The Bomb Squad are truly the kings of psychedelic music and they did hiphop!

  • I THINK "THE POWERS THAT BE" GOT REALLL SCARED WHEN THIS CAME OUT, LOOKING AT ALL THOSE BROTHAS OUT THERE, READY FOR THE NEXT REVOLUTION, SO THE WATTERED DOWN THE HIP HOP INDUSTRY REAL QUICK!WITH ALL THE GANGSTA STEREOTYPES!

  • this video clip is epic.

  • REVOLUTTTTTIIIOOONNNN

  • I just spotted spike lee!!

  • Chuck D= true subversive.

  • When ignoramuses lump all "rap" and hip hop together and trash them, I think of Public Enemy, and specifically this song. Pure brilliance. To me, this is the only true rap and hip hop. Love it. And I'm not black.

  • @RainPoetry I am Black and you are right Pure brilliance by Chuck D.

  • 6 people like the Corky version better.

  • tempo que não volta nunca mais...

  • flav is the hype man.

  • What does Flavor Flav actually do in this band? I sure hope he writes a lot of their songs cause he doesn't do much in them..

  • @nishy100 Chuck D is an introspective intelligent black man who is too humble to be the center of attention. This is why he brought flav, flav is full of love and he LOVES the attention....... hes the hype man son! Fight the power!

  • @nishy100 He is the hypeman.

  • YEEEEEAAAAAAH BOOOOOOOY

  • what the hell did he just say elvis is racist and so is john wayne? blasphemy

  • @Sweetiethemane222 Elvis...no! Wayne ..? YES!

  • @Sweetiethemane222 Elvis was quoted as saying all that black people can do for him is shine his shoes and buy his records Muthafuck him AND John Wayne !

  • @orgnice i feel ya brother murthafuck him AND john Wayne

  • @orgnice I remember that. And that's why I say that he would'nt have agreed to the marriage of LMP and Michael Jackson.

  • @orgnice Wow. Seriously? Had no idea. And I never liked Elvis anyway.

  • @RainPoetry uh huh huh

  • @orgnice Where's your proof? I've heard that quote many times and after googling it I found nothing proving he said so. I assume it's a myth. You shouldn't come here and say that if you have no idea if it's true or not.

  • @orgnice no..no he did not

    snopes.com/music/artists/presley1.asp

  • @orgnice Elvis Also bought a complete stranger a brand new Cadillac back in the 50's he had nothing to gain, back then blacks sat in the back of the bus. Oh.. by the way this stranger was a Black Women that was peering through the window as he was picking one for himself. A real racist back then would of asked the salesman to chow her away!

  • if we all gain knowledge alone, do you know how dangerous it would be to the powers that be?

  • cant get enough of this beat. i've been listening to this all morning

  • damn nigga! white people died and fought for our freedom, but we still pissed about it! shit nigga, haha

  • I hate rap music with a passion, I really do. However, I have to say that Chuck D's voice is amazing. It is like an actual instrument.

  • yyyeeeaaahhhh bbbboooooyyyyyy

  • one of my favorite groups!!

  • chcuck d is the best rapper ever

  • Thats crazy man, Barack has done a lot of good for this country!

  • if only hip hop had chosen a path like this, think of the community that would have sprung from it. Instead all that exists is a violence glorifying, material driven culture that continues to spawn the same. At least this sort of message driven hip hop looked to elevate a crisis-ridden black youth above their state. What is currently popular is nothing short of a soft kill on our youth. Stay ignorant, stay down, just buy our records. It is practically eugeneics if you ask me.

  • k, Stop with the conspiracey theroies and listen to the fucking music.

  • Fight the good fight Chuck D while you spend the White mans money.....And Flav a flav fucks a 6 foot fuckin cracker white whore.

  • While I don't necessarily agree with Chuck D and his views on our fight for civil rights (or at least what he says in the long version of this video about the March On Washington), this song is a legendary jam. It's impossible to sit still with music like this playing. Even if you can't dance like me! :)

  • Fuck yall Racist ass mutherfuckers; this song is the truth people just scared to hear the truth..Yall tight we Got a black President Now!

  • Comment removed

  • @SmileyReeni Yes you have a Black President now...So What?

What has he done for Black People? He sure has forgotten you all down there in Louisiana. The only one that is really fighting for you tooth and nail is Plysush "Bobby" Jindal and he is an Indian brother!

  • @khj93play What are you doing for your community or any community? The president cannot do everything at once. That why they give him 4 years. This mess took years to build so it will take time to undo damage. We do not live in a microwave society. Now get up from your computer and go make a difference in your community.

  • @missVeemack I figured tha I would not get an answer so you point the finger at me! Again I ask..? What has Obama done for Black People in the country or the world? Last I heard he was trying to termanate a fine Black Federal employee because he did not know how to deal with the situation.

  • Little bitch george bush fucked us all with oil. Then his republican buddies try and stop social security for retired and diabled folks.ROCK ON PUBLIC ENEMY.OBAMA IS THE ROOSEVELT OF TODAY AND POOR AMERICA IS READY TO ANSWER HIS CALL.

  • This is when rap, hip hop had something to say.

  • o shit falvour flav raps?

  • They made plenty of bucks for the White record executives- lets keep it real folks- its' all about the"green'. Thats the real.

  • The clocks were so peeps would "know what time it is"! PE was the bomb!!!

  • lmao niggas werein clocks and shit crazy

  • Flavor Flav is like a black Big Ben :))

  • zajebiste

  • One of the greatest songs ever i swear! An absolute classic. Public Enemy were HUGE at this time, and the album "It Takes a Nation" was one of the best albums ever. Every song was great. Public Enemy bought a lot to the table, they started a lota shit! Between Public Enemy and Run DMC, id say the two most influential bands ever, they stepped up the game in a big way. And how sweet were the S1Ws ;)

  • @TheGusto69 you are absolutly correct, actually. it is the number one greatest rap songs of all time... even vh1 said so..lol

  • @youwishyoucould123

I think fuck tha police is better, mostly because it's so true while insulting cops at the same time.

  • @TheGusto69 my 1st concert was EPMD,Public Enemy and RUN DMC in Toronto in 88 i think.......they all deserve to be in the rock n' roll HOF....especially RUN DMC.

  • @quincee33 run dmc got in two years ago

  • @TheGusto69 Boogie Down Productions after scott la rock died

  • fight dah powaa

  • i love this song ha fight the power

  • Am So CoOL cuz AM BLACK!!!!!!!!

  • perfect song for MLK day!!!! haha lmao today i wanted to go to the parade and play this shit loud and cause havic to society haha!!!!

  • What gets me mad is no one thinks of the struggles jewish people have gone through. Everyone forgets the Holocaust, burned them alive starved them. Before that they were slaves too forced to build pyramids in Egypt and still today get shit

  • JProckz28,

I don't know where you are getting your history from but, that's a bold face lie..

In Ancient Kemet,it was the people of that native land who built those pyramids.Their signature is the hieroglyphs that's written on the inside of them....Jews didn't contribute nothing to this great civilization.....Hotep!!

  • Think of the irony of American Blacks screaming to "fight the power",yet the current power is what is feeding, clothing, housing and generally keeping them from living in stone age conditions the way they did in Africa before whites bought them from other Africans.(for those educated in the "gubmint skoolz",irony is a humorousor interesting coincidence).

  • I hate dick wads like you trying to bring up the whole "we brought them here and civilized them" bullshit. We eventually became civilized and gained right, but that was after years of struggle. When we came to America, it was bad to educate us, one faced severe punishment if they educated us. Its not like you kind whites came to Africa and helped to educate us uncivilized stupid blacks. I have no problem with white people or anyone. But stop spewing racist shit idiot.

  • You're not lying that there were a lot of struggles and incredible hardships on Blacks.

What I'm sick of as a white man is being blamed for the slave trade when in fact it was your brothers who sold you to the Europeans for bling.

Constant tribal wars left a lot of POW's to sell.

Slavery was rotten, but every race has been enslaved at some time.

Are there excellent Blacks? You bet!(I was in the USMC and my DI's were top notch).

There are awful whites too whom I would never want to live near!

  • They purposely tried to keep us uneducated but, they were just as uneducated as well..And still are uneducated..lol...Understand that they stole history by burning up our texts and in doing so,they tried to rewrite their own. But,the truth is they are not natives anywhere on this planet. They are mutants that came from us...I don't hate anyone but, the truth is what sets us free..

  • The true irony is that all of us, black, white and indifferent are prisoners to a system with no alternatives.

  • You are the man, that was one of the best written, best thought out statements that I've ever read on a youtube comment section!

By the way,a friend of mine bought Sugarhill's 65 foot yacht,it's down in the Florida keys right now being refurbished.

  • @3kingkool very true brother but we must all STILL FIGHT THE POWERS THAT BE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @3kingkool Oh no no no my brother. There are alternatives. All you gotta do is stand up for yourself!

  • @3kingkool So true.

  • @3kingkool Negative...overstanding that the soul is eternal and because we live in a free will universe then there nothing that can keep us from choosing to combat the excessive negativity of the ruling classes...the negative forces work hard to keep us from understanding we a re one with the most powerful thing in the universe and tapping into that source makes those attempting to keep us down fearful of the potential we possess...nothing except lack of will can stop free will.

  • @3kingkool Realest shit you ever wrote. Realest shit I've ever read.

  • @3kingkool run by white people.

  • dg11962

It was the Moors who civilized Europeans in the Dark Ages..And if you truly knew your history, you would know that Afrikans(Slaves) were brought here by the Pilgrims on the good ship Jesus.Prior to our captivity,we were civilized and where the ones who taught your greek philosphers in Egypt..In other words,we civilized you so,have respect for your teachers....Caveman!!

  • The Moors were north African Arabs-not sub-Saharan Africans.

Slaves were purchased with money from other Africans who sold their POW captives for bling to the Europeans-you will never be taught this in public schools.

Comparing Egyptians and all of their wonderful creations to sub-Saharan Africans is like comparing Canadians with Mexicans geographically.

When slaves were bought, they didn't have a written language or use the wheel.

The US bought 6% of African slaves, most went to Brasil(38%)

  • This is SUBSTANCE!

  • i like these old skool raps.rappers these days suck, i don't listen to rap that much anymore becouse they bragg too much, i also like rock and pop, i listen to that mostly, but modern lil wayne and them, no.

  • mother fuck him and john wayne game over

  • This is history and you clowns are making fun?

  • I love all the tea bagging Ron Paul loving jerk-offs trolling this. Hey dick wads, Glenn Beck's cock is someplace else, go suck it off there! And I'm a white dude BTW so save your KKK BS!

  • me and my friend now dis whole song by heart and we sing it in class and at lunch and ppl chear 4 us lol

  • what power are they fighting exactly? and what do they hope to accomplish with violence or the threat of violence? what a step backwards. de-evolution. sounds to me they "fought the power" by electing a black president in a non-violent manner (if that is what they wanted) Maybe they just wanted to make some money....

  • you racist bastard, you must think because they are black they're rapping about violence. There is not one violent lyric in the song. Go back to your sheltered life.

  • Fight the power, well to be honest we are not doing a very good job of it. We've been fooled hook, line and sinker.

  • FIGHT THE POWER! "Mutha fuck him and John Wayne!"

  • White Power = Death & Oppression

Black Power= Freedom for all people.

Don't be fooled my white brothers.

The Struggle of black people is the struggle of all who have been screwed.

So if you are white, brown or yello, don't hesitate to say Black Power. When we win you win.

  • look at what you are saying!!!! you are demanding power for YOUR race only...what about hispanic power or asian power....ridiculouse

  • Re-read my comment. Black power represents the struggle of all people.

  • why should i listen to you and your "black" power!!! look at africa!!!its all war torn and aparently its power is black power

  • I see you believe in the myth of race. Black and africans are ethnically distinct. Black represents all american who have been screwed by the power that be.

    Peace

  • By the way Africa is a continent. War and poverty sells-so that is what gets focused on here. Africa has an ugly history. Look up the connection between Africa & european imperialism.

  • so your blaming the europeans?I doubt all of the war and poverty was caused by europe...its by the greed of men in power that cause this...and theirs ALOTE of greedy warlords in africa

  • Not blaming anyone. Those are historical facts that must be considered. I do agree with you about greed in africa. But that was my original point. Black Power is an idea, it is not a statement about race. A white can shout black power and understanding that it simply means "power to the people" - which was the slogan of the Black Panther Party. You tube fred hampton and listen to his brief explanation of black power.

  • 'black' power still is considered by many as power to the blacks only...i just wish their was 'human' power because their is no such thing as race..we are all humans

  • Good point but America = I Am Race so in America it's about race and our race get's the short end of the stick

  • Well if you don't want to listen why bring up power for all you're just on here cause havoc what's your bottom line?

  • FUCK YEAH!

  • seems like any movement gets to a certain point and stops. too bad this became just fashionable and meaningless when the chronic cd came out.

  • Mother fuck him and John Wayne!

  • ROW ROW FIGHT DA POWAH!

  • row row da boat haha

  • manly tears ; _ ;

  • Flavor flav was the shit lol

  • The black militant guy!

  • hahahah yes!

  • W PUBLIC ENEMY !!!!

    W Black Panther Party !!!!!

  • fuck him and john wayne!

  • Great video

  • AN ANTI G20 DEMO SONG - AWSOME

  • ahhh love the old school shit man

  • Black Panthers marching........................

  • que no es feo??????????????????????
