@8bawlla if such a policy could be implimented, it would cost the taxpayers far more than $20 per each first nationals. mb taxpayers would have to foot the cost of more services to smaller communites in the prov. i dn't think such an idea is all that sound due to the size of the mb tax base. not to mention, the nessisity to pay for 1st nationals from out of prov. or to enforce the funds go only to manitobans. failing all other points, it unconscionable for additional taxes on beer.

If you think Winnipeg is nice your head will explode when you see Vancouver. Trust me, I lived in WPG for 3 decades and always thought it was the best place in Canada until I saw BC. Big eye opener for me. Winnipegs downtown is not busy at all. It is vacant and decaying. The new Hydro building is cool, and now that the Jets are back is good too. But its still a filthy city with no downtown and far too cold and long winters.
