It's in my top six scores, along with Bernard Herrman's (he wrote this one) Psycho and Vertigo, Jerry Goldsmith's :Chinatown", David Shire's "The Conversation", and whoever wrote the score for The Last Seduction.
What a great notes and feeling in this song, I was only a kid who did not had the musical skills at that time but surely felt this song. It always been on my mind ever since that movie...!!!!
@sanmariecom Very well said my friend. He seems to encapsulate both the yin and the yang of humanity. He kills without a second thought, and yet he does so in the name of protecting the young. He wants companionship, and yet cannot play the social games we all play in order to get it. He believes in justice and yet wants to kill the fake and the corrupt by his own hand. Very much like a ronin samurai lost on the streets on NY carrying a .357 magnum. He is the symbol for humanity's soul indeed.
It's truly bittersweet. In every sense of the word.

Tom Scott plays the sax lead. From the first note, you hear the sounds of the entire city pouring from his horn.
