dude, just a little tip, nothing actualy important. when you were looking for places to upgrade roads, there are two small arrows pointing left and right close to the name of the town, u can use them to kinda quick select back and forth when mass upgrading

@1matthew3354 It's the Unit Captain for the Yari Ashigaru, they look like Generals, but they're just the leader of the group, and really the cause of units routing really quick. If they die during a battle you think you're going to win, and most likely will, your units moral seems to drop a bit, though it's not too intense, and usually doesn't effect them at all if your General is within range of them.

The spiky things that the ninja's through are called caltrops. If I remember correctly they were used in the period of the British Empire by light infantry to give them some protection against light cavalry.

I don't think the AI can trigger the realm divide. Everything I've read on the Total War forums says that they can't, and that it was made specifically to make it harder for the player mid-game.

I'm hoping your gunpowder will be enough to hold back the shimazu hoard. Might want to atleast try to ally the smaller clans neighboring them and hopefully draw them into war against the shimazu when the realm divide hits. A buffer zone to slow their advance on you while taking down the shogun. They will either die or turn against you eventually but no loss on your part. Diplomacy can be a useful tool

@HeirofCarthage he prob did throw the spear, no archers were firing. also its like you see people fall off of horses and fight on the ground but dont last long. tho now since a path general on MP falls of hourse [or body guard] they fight dismounted while the rest sty mounted, then they just all go at the movement speed of the dismounted guards

Heir, I think you're being a bit too careful about who you're going piss off. Unless you are hostile with a clan and are being an asshole to them, from my experience they won't try to attack you- especially when you are a lot more powerful than them. What you really have to worry about is if a rapidly growing and expanding clan such as the Shimazu reach your borders, they are likely to declare war on you.

Those "spiky things" are called Maka-Bishi spikes. They were used after the black eggs to ensure they'd get away. They were actually 5 spikes and each spike was about 5 inches long.

@Masterofrome23 it was likely still processing. However a problem you run into with video quality is that fraps records footage into AVI format. AVI format would take too long to upload due to file size. When you change the format to something better for uploading (like mp4 or wmv) then you lose quality. So the youtube video will unfortunately never look as good as it does on my PC?
