  • That Tamil sounds very interesting :D

  • if you are an arab and want to speak chinese then you have to learn the (Iraqi Arabic) dialect.

It`s not a must but it will be kind of easier.

Iraqi dialect is tho the hardest and oldest Arabic dialect.

  • i've heard better tagalog but this aint bad (btw I'm pinoy/ filipino)

  • <3 japanese and korean lang..:) sounds good..and im indonesian :D

  • wats the point of making more videos if ur using the same sound clips.

  • I'm Filipino but I'm disgraced because of how the speaker talks. Talk normal geez!!!!

  • KOREAN HOW COME?

  • That isn't natural Tagalog. The speaker is trying to make a joke or something.

Translation: Good day everyone this is (???) wazzup wazzup? For the news, a fetus climbs 1997 floors of a building .... using an elevator.

  • china lol pig language hate

  • Yea, right I agree the Tagalog reporter example they gave was awful. She probably was sick ...hehe. lolz! Tagalog still is the best among the ones included here, next Japanese, then Korean then Malay/Bahasa...

  • i'm going to say vietnamese since no onle likes it....-L-"......

  • wow! they totally screwed tagalog (Philippines language).. hate much?

  • @slyth32 korek ka dyan na may malaking tsek...as far i remember the filipino language is one of the most beautiful language according to this foreign linguistic and most of my foreign friends love our language because it's very pleasant to hear just like a lullaby, this video doesn't represent nor capture the beauty of our language as well as the other nation.

  • all the Chinese dialects... my personal favorites

  • mongolian best

  • Indonesia

    Japanese

    Korea

  • the tagalog was wrongly spokenn, the speaker was trying to make a joke by changing her accent and intonation.

  • @Hansnowya : please distinguish between indonesian n malay

  • that's not indonesian..

    it is malay..

we can always tell which one is malay and which one is indonesian. they're different both in spoken and written form.

  • It is not fair !

because the Japanese reader is NHK announcer.

They always speak like a stone lol

  • 1. Japanese

    2. Mandarin

  • i like japanese. others are korean and thai because they are soft spoken. But where did you get the Filipino audio. I don't speak like this. and the reporter is insane... saying a fetus went up the 1,900th+ floor using the elevator according to the witness... try to use audios from legitimate philippine programs... lots of them in youtube

  • 1) Japanese

    2) Mandarin

    3) Malayu/Indonesia

  • To my russian ear Japanese sounds most pleasantly... But that's my own... And i do not undertand in J except "Origato" :-) They all speak too fast and too official, probably the best way to rank is making a collection of a commercial promo, the same one but in different languages (for example McDonald's or something)...

  • 1) Mandarin

    2) Japanese

    3) Cantonese

  • Isn't it in Shanghai, they speak the Wu dialect? I thought these were languages?

  • ilokano is totally different from tagalog, only similarity is we borrowed some spanish words..

  • WTF we dont speak like this one.. this one is pathetic.. :| this reporter sucks. trying hard in speaking TAGALOG.. she said, "isang fetus ang umakyat s isang libot syam n raan syam naput pitong palapag at ayon s saksi gumamit ng elevator s pag akyat.." (A fetus went up into 1007 floors building.. and according to witness, this fetus use elevator just to get there) hmmp unrealistic isnt ?? pathetic..:|

  • 1.Cantonese

    2. Korean

    3. Thai

    4. Japan

    5. Mandarin

  • Tamil

  • i cant stand listening to vietnamise languege

  • @jkarlo13 geez,why??

  • Bangla? World's 5th language?

  • I think that how "good" a language sounds depends on whose speaking...lke say a girl you lke ;)

  • The Filipino speaker probably have a cold when she was reporting. Anyways, I think that all of them are unique,

  • the tagalog here is real that is why most filipinos cannot understand what the reported said.

  • sounds great! here is the older form of language in Luzon island (called - e sorot pa dumaghet) mapyionide de pagkatalikngan ko misan on tagalog ey tuneh de pesan ikaduwi on sorot ni indones ta melayu.

  • the filipino one doesn't souds like it is,. it sounds like a trying hard reporter,. it don't even recognized the voice,.sounds horible,.

  • in no particular order, i have to say that cantonese, mandarin, japanese, korean, thai, vietnamese, hakka (the hakka dialect that you can hear close to hong kong, since that's what my dad speaks xD), and taiwanese all sound the most appealing to me. quite a lot of asian languages sound fascinating to me, though.

tokyosanmachan is just being racist and btw, 'chinky' IS an offensive and racist term.

  • i think korean , malay , n thai r the best ..

  • Of these examples, I have a (purely aesthetic and subjective) affinity for the rhythm, cadence and vowel sounds of Thai, Lao, and Japanese. They all posses a combination of short and long-length accented vowels and clear consonants (similar to Italian, Brazilian Portuguese and Swedish) that sounds like music to me. But I like all languages!

  • Hindi is somewhat acceptable.

In comparison, Japanese is a sexy language ;) definitely the one I'll gladly pick up I really had to choose an Asian language.

    The rest? Bleah! Buwah! Blacgh!

    --- POV of a neutral westerner ---

  • Tamil has a great sound in my opinion, but I don't think I'll need to learn it.

  • 1. Philippines

    2. Japan

    3. Taiwan

    4. Chinese

    5. Indonesia

    =))

  • 1)Korean

    2)Japanese

    3)Mongolian

    4)Malay

  • Just from overall feel of the sounds, I like Teochew and Vietnamese. I've studied Mandarin, Korean and Japanese and like these languages too, but T and V sound so cool! Just my opinion! :)

  • Of course I like my language, Bahasa Indonesia.

But Bahasa n Malaysian are different anyways (pronoun, words, meaning, etc)

    Other favorite languages:

    -Korean

    -Mandarin

    -Tagalog

    -Japanese

  • omg..im a filipino..but i didn't understand what she said..

the quality where u have gotten the language seems bad..like u just record it from a radio with low signal reception..i cant hear it clearly..

anyways, i like my language (tagalog/filipino)

i also like chinese and taiwanese and japanese

  • in research, malay language is soft than other language, same with north Italy (fact)

  • Korean and jap, their each syllables are way too clear than others.

  • the example used for Tagalog (Filipino) is not befitting at all. It was a parody of a news anchor, in my opinion it was a terrible example of Tagalog.

  • WOW some chinky languages

Mongolian Language is the best Asian language, probably the best in the World!!!

  • w8 why did you put a tv reporter in the filipino language haha!

  • @mayumi225 i think its from wazzup wazzup! coz the content of the news is so amusing.

  • love thai language<3

  • <3 thai food

sadly my mum went "eww yuck" when i told her

  • You can not compare Asian languages. The northeast Asian, Ural-Altaic languages of Korea, Japanese, East Asian of Chinese, and Central Asian of Mongolian, are way to different compared to Southeast Asian. Northeast Asians derive from Ural-Altaic, northern Chinese and northeastern Chinese while southeast Asians derive from the Austronesian languages. The cultures, appearances of people, architectures, languages, writing, and everything else are way too different. I am Korean and Japanese.

  • Very very good point here. Northeast Asia and Southeast asia is like comparing Russia to England. Different cultures. Cantonese, Malaysian, Tagalog, Taishanese are way different then Korean and Japanese cultures.

  • In my opinion, I like northeast Ural-Altaic, Asian languages of Korean and Japanese. A few Chinese, a few Mongolian, a few central Asian are fine too. Southeast Asian languages of Vietnamese, Thai, Cambodian, Laotian, Burmese, Singaporean, Malaysian, indonesian, Filipino, and all the other Austronesian southeast languages sound the same and it is disgusting. When they speak, it is obnoxious and they sound like their noses are stuffed. i think its because southeast have flat noses and big eyes.

  • stupid!!!!

  • I didnt much like the Filipeano. I am chinese and I do like the sound of Mandarin quite a lot but I also like the Japanese :). My nan speaks Teow Chew dialect and i've tried learning but it's not very nice at all! LOL... and neithers Shanghainese in my opinion :L. I really like the Thai language too :)

  • gosh, u didn't like our language? fair enough coz the one that u had heared was from the funny TV show called wazzup wazzup...she imitated a news anchor... but have u heared a filipino conversation??? might be it will change ur opinion...peace...^_^

  • LOL!. Thai and Laos are the same language.

  • mongolian sounds aweful lmao

  • @intestineisyum wtf really? why?

  • @UtuberMgl1

u know what the gurgling sound sounds like. thats like mongoalian lol haha

  • @intestineisyum mongolia isnt even on here wtf? stop hatin...

  • Comment removed

  • Every language is beautiful :)

  • wow...no Mongolian...

but for me ...I think Korean and Japanese sounds good.. =]

  • Thai just sounds odd to me. It sounds like they have something in their mouth while trying to talk.

As for the multitude of Chinese dialects, they all sounds far too harsh. Mandarin being the best sounding of those.

I personally think Japanese sounds the best because there's a clearness about it and it lacks a lot of the harsher consonant sounds found in other languages.

  • Japanese and Indonesian sound calm and intelligent.

All other language sound noisy, esp, all chinky languages.

Thai sounds like Tamil, it's interesting.

    btw

  • Chinky? Couldn't you have used a nicer more appropriate word. The word chink is just a grose word to use. Also, don't put down other languages. You are entittled to your opinion, but you are not entittled to be racist and to make fun of other languages. That's just small.

  • chinky? that's an offensive term, apologize!

  • @tokyosanmachan

You sound like a racist fuck!!

  • hmm japanese, mandarin

    :)

  • Chinese

  • what the hell....filipino..(tagallog)??

im a filipino..but i didnt understand what she said....

  • Taiwanese is the best, especially better than Chinese.

  • japanese & taiwanese :P:P:P

gomene !!HEY, speaking of witch...do you know how to download & instal east- asian language on ur PC??

  • Taiwan go desu?

    curaizi desuka?

  • Philippines' has a very good language. What happened to that reporter?

Hindi ba kayo marunong pumili ng ibibigay ninyong halimbawa?

    Utang na loob!

  • korean,mandarin,japanese and tagalog

  • You should have bangla or bengsli in there XD

  • Tagalog(filipino) sounds good but not the example(that comes from newscaster)

  • lawl..

    clips/audio used are so..

    hm..

    a bit messy..

    i mean..

    dugh..

    tsk3..

    what a source..!!

  • Hm, you need to have a video where the voice is similar, because from this video Korean definitely sounds the best... But, from life experience (I'm Asian American and have heard most of these languages in person...), Japanese rocks my socks!

  • Vietnamese acutally has 3 main dialects, u has a Southerm Vietnamese dialects, but Northerm Vietnamese is our standard dialects for news! u went too much on Chinese dialects, ;[

  • thai

    mandarin

    japanese

    i'm indian ;)))

  • You still have mostly Chinese dialects.

The Philippines actually has more than 100 dialects.

    Where's Hmong? Where's Cambodian? Where's Mien? Where's Burmese?

Every country also has different accents within the country, for example Vietnamese from North and South also speak differently.

  • again.. they are languages...not dialects

i 've got cambodian(Khmere) in my sequel vids... actually Hmong is also considered as one of the dialects in china, but it is a language

  • The two dialects are known as White Hmong (also called Hmong Der or Hmong Daw) and Green Mong (also called Mong Leng or Mong Njua). These are the two major dialects spoken by Hmong Americans.

Hmong (RPA: Hmoob) or Mong (RPA: Moob) is the common name for a group of dialects of the West Hmongic (Chuanqiandian) branch of the Hmong-Mien/Miao-Yao language family spoken by the Hmong people of Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, northern Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos.

    Dialects. Thank You.

  • @Hansnowya You said, "again.. they are languages...not dialects" wrong, many of the so called dialects in asia are not dialects but are actually languages. many are called dialects because they are not spoken in national level, example the dialects of the philippines have completely different grammars and vocabularies and so are thelanguages in indonesia and malaysia.

  • Um, I think the Tamil numerals are

Onnu, rundu, muunu, nalu, angchu, arru, ezhu, etu, onpathu, pathu.

  • this filipino guy or girl =_= sound horrable oo jeez

  • 1.Japanese

    2.Korean

    3.Mandarin

  • Actually Laos sound better than thai so

    1.japanese

    2.laos...and understand it too! yay

    3.thai...my mother tongue!

  • Tagalog.

    Malaysian

    Indonesian..

They sound all the same.. BCOZ..

All of them are actually one in the ancient times.

  • i'm sorry i just deleted your latest comment by mistake! DX isnt tagalog different from malay???

  • Tagalog was based from Malay.. Malays and Indonesians went to Philippines before Spaniards came.. Like my dialect.. my secondary language which is my Dialect is somehow similar to Malay.. for example.. The word Jalan in Malay means road.. In Tagalog.. its Daan in my dialect its Dalan.. Pintu(malay word for door) Pinto in Tagalog as for door also..
  • Numbers.. Tagalog. 1-10 Isa, dalwa, tatlo, apat, lima, anim, pito, walo, syam, sampu.. Malay. Satu, dua, tiga(not sure), ampat, lima, anam, dunno seven eight and nine, ten sepuluh Malay word for 50 is lima puluh.. Lima(Sepuluh) 5x10 = 50 Tagalog word for 50 is limampu Lima(Sampu) 5x10 = 50
  • Malay Indonesian.

    1-10

Satu, dua, tiga, empat, lima, enam, tujuh, delapan, sembilan, sepuluh

It is in Indonesia, I don't know if there any different with malaysian.

  • Yep..

    there is..

  • I think Central Java language is more similar to Tagalog

  • maybe.. do you have a video?

  • sorry, i don't have it

  • there is..

it's delapan in malay its lapan

  • @nicyolo 1satu ,2dua,3tiga,4 empat,5 lima,6 enam,7 tujuh,8 lapan,9 sembilan,10 sepuluh

  • There are many Tagalog words that are Malay descent.. 1st.. number system.. 2nd.. Body parts.. like Telapak(foot) Talampakan in Tagalog.. Kanak(children).. Anak/Bata in Tagalog Technical Terms in Tagalog are based on Spanish and English. Like Heneral.. Militar. Gobyerno(govierno).. because of SPANISH colonization.. Ancient Filipinos are actually Malaysians and Indonesians.. Then Chinese.. then Spanish..
  • To conclude..

    Tagalog origins..

    is

    40% Malay and Indonesian based

    20% Spanish

    10% Sanskrit, Tamil, Hindu.

    10% other SE Asian

    10% Chinese(Fujian/Cantonese based)

    10% English(in technical terms)

The largest influences are Malay and Spanish

  • im malaysian.. i understand malay part in your video but i did not understand tagalog part at all.. i dunno how come they say its almost same to malaysian.. malaysian n indonesian have a little different language eg: american n britain. not much but distinct grammar..

  • it's because the example was taken from a mock news program "wazzup wazzup" so it's a bit inapropriate...for me i guess

besides, tagalog isn't the only filipino language.

may i ask, was that the normal speed in malay?

    im filipino...

  • @chopchoping i know its late , but yes , its the normal speed , but its different from the sabahian dayak ?? language

  • what makes you think Thai.....

is not not jiberrish badoodle to me?....

    seriously you should consider.....

what others think of Thai language....
