i believe that there are zoras, just not seen often. they probably live underwater. and the game does show you a zora, medli's ancestor.

@OmegaXis189 well, molgera kinda sounds like molten lava, it does have a very volcano-y feel to it. and plus all other gohma's in the LoZ series were arachnids, so i see why you wouldn't immediately think of this.... centipede? when you hear the name.

@badflamer The "water" is actually a seal protecting Hyrule. It wasn't there before, so it probably wasn't there long enough for the Zoras to inhabit, which wouldn't make any sense because in the Wind Waker game, the Zoras are dead.

@TPZPaqo ... there was water in hyrule BEFORE the great sea. and it's not a seal protecting hyrule. the goddesses had to flood hyrule because ganon had become too powerful and teh land was suffering and falling into darkness. now, when this sudden flooding came, you're telling me that of all teh races to survive, the only one (other than th gorons) who didn't was teh zora who already LIVE in water. and on top of that, those that did survive instead evolved into BIRDS? yeah, total sense

@TPZPaqo *chuckles* that should be minamoto's job. even with teh split timeline theory there is still a lot of shit he has yet to explain in this series. like, for example, how the hell hyrule suddenly got like 30 or so mountain tops to be turned into islands when hyrule was flooded. last i checked the only two mountains hyrule has are death mountain and snowpeak.

@badflamer That really is kind of weird - I've only played the Wind Waker, so I really don't know any other timeline, but know that you just told me there were only 2 mountains that is weird that another 47 suddenly formed in the 100 years following Ocarina of Time.

@TPZPaqo wellOoT is where the timeline split. in teh adult timeline, when link went back in the past to relive his childhood, hyrule was left without a hero, thus when ganon broke out of his seal, the goddesses had to flood hyrule,110 yrs ltr you have WW. in the child timeline, link goes back and warns zelda of all that is going to happen, ganon is stoped, teh seven ancient sages attempt to execute him. fail, and have to banish him to the twilight realm, the events of TP unfold100 years later

@Idrivethe405 why would the rito be in skywardsword? they are somehow supposed to be the descendants of the zora (cuz that makes total sense). WW takes place about a century after OoT (cuz, you know, evolution is realy that freaking fast) and Skyward Sword is known to take place before OoT. Though i agree the rito should be much more at home in that world, i makes sense not to see them since teh zora shouldn't have evolved into the rito yet

@badflamer People will try to make sense of the Zelda timeline, but in the end, there isn't one. The whole thing is fucked and Miyamoto knows it. They should just go enjoyed as separate but parallel stories.

Plus, the water composing the great sea came from the heavens, so in all likelyhood it IS freshwater, or at the very least much closer to freshwater than OUR ocean water

@badflamer Wind Waker takes place WAY after the other games. When it came out, it took place as the very last game in the canonical time line, because it refers to Hyrule as an ancient land covered by the ocean as they knew it.

There is no way this is as epic as fighting the REAL Gohma for the first time...the boss soundtrack is nowhere near as intense and scary as OOT, and it lacks that feel of amazing when you first play the real Gohma.

Queen Gohma is a magtail but like 1,000 times bigger and doesn't roll into a ball when hit in the eye and the weak poiont is the eye so if you know how to kill a magtail you know how to kill this in the 2nd phase
