  • I've Got The Need....The Need For Speed

  • I like the other wheels better. Big wheels look kind of ghetto on an old car.

  • what size rims i likeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • GOD SAVE THE QUEEN...NO I MEAN GOD SAVE AMERICA...SWEET CAR SWEET COUNTRY!

  • great song, great car.

  • holw shit....i just seen my dream car....fuckin love your mustang!!!!!!!!

  • The 17's look ok. Would have gone with 16's though. Anything over 17 would definitely look ghetto. Nice car, great job. Any problems with getting the 351 to fit?

  • How hard was it to but a 351w into a mustang fitted for a 298!!! im trying to do the same so info would be helpful!! thanks man

  • Great video, from music, to car and editing. Great Job! Where are your other video on your car? Please advise.

  • Nice vid and car. But...I think the those 17" bullet rims a tad too big. I would go with 15 or 16" torq thrusters or torq thrusters type IIs. My 2 cents.

  • the music interferes.

  • a "Restomod" is much more than an engine swap and paint job. Where's the 4-wheel disc, rack and pinion, strut conversion? Nice restoration though.

  • it sounds like a freakin harley davidson when its idoling, not a V8

  • Ilove it,makes me fell like when Idrove my 68 with 351C back in the day 1972.

  • I'm sorry, I love the movie Top Gun and the soundtrack and all but c'mon let's hear the car. I mean if we wanted to hear the song from Top Gun then we would watch the movie. We want to hear the car instead.

65 shelby gt350r clone with a 408w cu in stroker motor 400 hp, T-5 5spd trans, 4 wheel power disc brakes, Foose Chrome nitrous legend wheels 17"x7" in front, 17"x8" in the rear, Goodyear eagle f1 gsd3 tires, 215/45/17 front, 245/45/17 rear

  • @65FASTBACKMAN im sure ur car is amzing but y do people like big ass fuckin rims i personally think that 15 inch cragars with firestone wide ovals look better than 17 inch tuner rims with rubber bands for tires

  • @camarolover1982 You call 17's big ass fuckin rims? Haha, I could have gone up to a 20" wheel if I wanted to but yeah i'm not gonna make my ride look like a fucking hoodlum car. Second, everyone has cragars and american racing torq thrust, especially in the 14"/15". Plus cragars and the torq thrusts just look trashy, especially the aluminum torq thrust wheels and they are a bitch to keep clean. And i have discs, had to upgrade to at least a 16". Ps where are the pics of your camaro?

  • @65FASTBACKMAN

I'm not really sure how torq thrusts look trashy .. some cragars do though in my opinion.. I have a set of torq thrust II's and there one of my favorite rims .. what kind of rims do you have?

  • @leafsrule16 The torq thrust II's that everyone has in the polished aluminum look extremely trashy. I had them on my 68 fastback and they never looked clean, even when brand new. From then on I told myself I would never get polished aluminum wheels, so I upgraded to Foose Nitrous Legends in chrome, 17x7" in front, 17x8" in rear. And by upgrade I mean quality. They were actually cheaper than 15x7" polished torq thrust II's, which I don't understand considering they are much more badass haha

  • @leafsrule16 15x7" polished torq thrust II's = $250 a wheel at summit racing. the torq thrust chrome for a 15x7"? $305.95 at summit, and the 17x7" is $359.95. my foose nitrous chrome legends in 17's were $250 a wheel from les schwab. think I'll stick to Foose, plus, who has Foose wheels? I mean its all about being unique and different with an old car so who wants what everyone else has right? You go to a classic car show and you see 100 of the 150 cars there with torq thrust II's lol, no thanks

  • @camarolover1982 Why are you complaining about this in the first place? They are called wheels not rims you fuckin whigger

  • @4TaTeR2012 because i can and what else are they called u god damn kike?

  • @camarolover1982 thank you!!

  • @deathdefyingleap fer what?

  • @camarolover1982

What are you 50? A 17" wheel is not big @ss. Cragars are great, but the new torq thrust style mustang wheels look good on these early pony cars, If this was my car, I'd put some coilovers on it and bring her down about 2".

GREAT JOB Mustang289 ...ignore the haters.

  • gay your gay

  • sounds really good

  • ok question i am planning a build for next year when im out of work my question is was the any problems getting a 351w in the 65 was there cutting or any mods like that to be done or was it a easy engine swap? i would like to do 575hp 351w with a auto 4speed power pack moser rear end .

    brucet35@aol.com

    thanks, bruce

  • Solid Video. Solid Car.

  • 351w to a t5? is it a t5z? how is the tranny holding up?!

  • is this in oklahoma?

  • Anybody selling a 65 or a 66 mustang?? I got 2k... Lol... Im serious.. Im just 18 and i want my first car to be a mustang 66...

  • @Hector3158 Your insurance will also go SKYROCKET!

  • @visionimagify not really. most older people who have classic cars dont pay much for insurance on them mainly cause they dont drive them everyday and they are older. not really that expensive at all.

  • Nothing sets off a 65 Mustang coupe like some fatties in the back.

  • @ButtPoopWiggle now why would you put a nice mustang through that pain, its only acceptable when drunk...

  • @heatseeker2010 I meant fat tires...

  • sounds very very nice.

  • excelent video 50 gold stars lol

  • hell of a nice ride...way to keep it classy yet ohh so badass

  • Sounds sexy!!

  • she was also ORIGINAL which u fucked up

  • such a fun video haha. i loved it. sick car and perfect video editing. loved the garage door opening/engine light up. ha thanks for this!

  • @ShabuufaJohnson thank you

  • The Music oh the music stop it, great car

  • and thus is how a true built classic should sound beautiful car man.

  • and thus is how a musta

  • Did the same thing with our 65

  • It's a beautiful car but it sounds like a pulp wood truck. Maybe it's the Incredible cheesey music that's causing me so much pain.

  • i have a 65 but mine still has a 200

  • i would have left the cragars on it instead of putting newer rims on it

  • perfect mustang :)

  • Absolutely beautiful ride. Classic American muscle is what it's about (even though I drive a MS3 =p). I love classic muscle cars.

  • why the hell would u put such a gay song in the background when the only reason we're watching it is to see your car

  • and ditch the music

  • a-men that was a horrible piece of music i felt like i was hearing some gay tribute 80's band try and play a patriotic song or something. just horrible

  • front end needs to come down a couple inches.nice car.

  • getting one this friday!!....wooohhooo!!..hell yea..check me out on my channel..i have a 302 H.O. 83...my shit got fucked up..imma rebuild it..and imma buy a 351w..380hp 5.8L

  • i lold cuz you can afford this mustang and afford an engine swap but you can't buy 3 dollars worth of Pedal pads/covers.

    nice ride

  • lmao! It's just that pedal pads are easy to forget. I've my 68 for 9 yrs and swapped the 200ci 6 and 3 speed for a 351w/t5 but I still haven't put pedal pads on either, lol

  • @LtBullitt351

watd you do with the old 200??

  • I sold it not long after I took it out. The kid I sold it to had a '80 with a 200 that was going out, so he put it in his 80.

  • did you shorten the driveshaft , where did you buy transmission bracket

  • First class ride!!!

  • is that a world class t5 or reg t5

  • God, I love the sound of that 351...I want one in mine!!

  • wonderful car!

what is the name of song?

  • Top Gun Anthem-Harold Faltermeyer & Steve Stevens

  • very NICE.. that babe can catch attention.

i have a question about what i should do to my 351W.. anyone down to hear me out?

  • sure, ill hear you out.

  • alright cool, cool.. i want my 351 to hawl ass! because the car im going to stick it in is BIG. but the guy that im going to get to rebuilt it says that the 351 windsors already hawl ass stock.... and that i don't really need to make it performance because its good already and that i'll need to get a perfomance transmission as well if i want something more than stock horsepower... im going to be sticking it in a 66 ford Galaxie. so what do you think? is he right or not..oh its a c6 transmission.

  • Personally, I know that C4 is plenty for a 351W, so the stock C6 tranny should hold up ok, but I'd go for an upgraded one anyways, like from transmissioncenter(dot)com or something. For the 351, if the budget allows I'd make it a stroker...Its pretty inexpensive and it makes HUGE power. you use stock 302 pistons, the rods that came with the 351, and a stroker crank... youre getting 393 ci of pure muscle. But that's just my idea, the stock 351 does haul some ass though.

  • waaaaaaaait a minute..... 393 ci out of THAT? oh crap.

  • Yea, its a BEAST. And its fairly inexpensive.

  • very inexpensive.. i told my dad (he's the one with the money) about all this and were going to with the performance trans off of transmissioncenter... thanks bro..

  • No problem, Good luck. :D

  • unless you plan on doing some massaging to the shock towers the 351 will not fit i speak from experience i tried it in my 66 coupe

  • Would you suggest I put a stroked 351w in my 65 stang? What issues will I run into? What will I need different from my current 289?

  • how big are those rims?how much? if its a 351W did you have to change the front suspension?

  • Music always ruins an 8 cylinder symphony performance.

  • Why did Goose have to go down like that?!?!

  • let me guess you drive a honduh and you think your hot shit my mustang would blow your doors off

  • u prob dont have any money bro... so sad for u lil bitch and no i dont have a stang but ur a hating nobody

  • Shave the Queen you smart Aussie!

  • yank redneck? your a moron those are complete opposites and thats makes no sense so STFU and go get an education.

  • Nicely done. I just bought a 65' yesterday.

  • my mom had a 66, it was in PERFECT condidtion and my dad found it for her for only $1400!! I was so in love with that car.

I can't help but ask, whats the name of the song? lol

  • i think it's form top gun, where maverick throws goose's dog tags into the see

  • thanks, I found it. I knew it sounded like somthing from top gun, lol

  • I love the car, but I think the pipes should be cut at the valence and slanted.

  • where did you find a 351w?

  • you can find them everywhere

  • i cant seem to. i cant find any on craigslist, ebay or in thee newspaper. is there a website that sells 351 blocks?

  • Well I dont know how to help you but around here you can find them pretty easy

  • if your looking to get a turn key performance 351w i would go to performance unlimited and pick the one you like. they have packages or they custom build them too.

  • my mustang is a straight six. how much would it cost to get a v8 put in?

  • well the cheapest way would be to look on craigslist... maybe you can find one on ebay, but they would be costly

  • my friend converted his to a 289 hi-po and that was the fastest car i have ever ridden in. with the T-5, we hit 120 on the highway before the steering made it to where we had to slow down. its amazing. i can imagine a 351w with a T-5.

  • Whats the exaust configuration? are you using any mufflers?? I would love my 302 to sound sometinhg like that...

  • that thing is amazing

  • got a new idea for you do what the elenore clones do take the 351 and stroke it to 408 but nice 65 ? c code im guessing its cool so is mine but i kept the c code and did a little tuning will beat a 302 4 bbl

  • i would have those mufflers cut flush...same angle as the rear valance!

    :)

  • thats the way to do it :)

  • how did you fit a 351W in a 65?

  • its probably not too hard the 302 & 351 are both small blocks

  • my dad and i tried to do that but the left exaust manifold kept hitting the streeing box we were gonna take it to an engine shop to get it fitted until....we droped it

  • Good vid! Thats somethign to show off to the kids and grandkids of what it used to be like. -Jon

  • what size tires did you put on it?

  • Very nice work. I always thought you couldn't swap the 351 in the 64-66 without that mustang II suspension. What kind of headers are those? They must be specific for that swap. Also, how much harder does it make it to change spark plugs? I'm not very familiar with the 351 setup but is what is that in place where power steering of a 289 would be? Air conditioning? Thanks.

  • bro i got a 400 in my 65 mustang and i didnt need to do any mods to the suspension.

  • lol great pic wats the song or music

  • its a thing of beauty

  • I am debating doing A trans swap also of you could can you give me a little advice. Time , $ and degree of difficulty and if you did a package swap or did you have to piece it together...BTW, very nice car.

  • lol @ top gun music.

u can be my wingman anytime. ;)

    music is pretty gay

  • nice i recognised that 351 Windsor.

  • is that T5 a auto? cause mine came T5 stock.

  • no the T5 is not an auto and a T5 didn't come stock in a mustang until the 80's

  • @UGAFAN954 LOL....t5 auto stock in a 65' jeeeze. You're thinking c4 buddy

  • Well done!!!

  • top gun are you serious, Bad Ass car

  • nice car, very nice car.what cost this car???

  • nice car. i have a 95 mustang5.0 myself.

  • nice video, beautiful car , I have some questions about the trans swap, I am considering swapping my c4 for a t5 , could you send me some info about the swap , was it hard? , cost, time involved, and such , any info would be greatly appreciated ,thanks

  • you could just put some resonators in and keep the engine stock, you know, drive the speed limit, so you dont tear yours in half..

thanks for keepin the body stock..

  • nice ride

  • Got those dyno numbers?

  • what size wheels do you have on that?? ive got a 65 and it has the skinny little stock tires, i like the look of your.

  • I have a few questions that maybe you can help me answer or someone else who reads this.

    1. I'm thinkin about putting a 4bbl in my '65 289 what else will i have to do to it besides replacing the intake manifold.

2.Where'd you get that air filter it is sweet.

  • you got to do a lot more then that man you may think its an easy swich in swich out but it is a long time umm it took me about at least 4 days to do it and those 3 day i didnt have to work so i had plenty of time to do it so dont think i had to go to work so i didnt have time so it took me long time its just a hard peice

  • Dude you have to post a vid of yopu lightin those tires up

  • that stupid he'll just have to buy new 1's and there bout $550 a pop man

  • not quite that much, man. trust me look at my videos.

  • Don't know if I'm diggin' the wheels, maybe if it was lowered a little more. Other then that, damn nice car!

  • thats cuz its stooooockkkk!!!

  • i just got a 351w for my 65, what type of headers did you use and where did you buy them from?

  • The hedman swap headers should work, I've got them on the 351W in my 68, but they list to fit a windsor swap into a 65-68.

  • Nice Job on the car

  • I love it

  • Thanks

  • I was going to put a 351w also and take out my 302. Will the 351 go in without any problems or will it need some modifying? Also i was going to buy the windsor from a junkyard, do all 351w engines have the same horsepower or should i look out for specific years?

  • i have a 69 351W in mine, and yes they will fit without major mods, a set of swap headers, and thats just abuot it, i have the RMP adjustable motormounts to aid but stock ones will work. And no all 351W did not have the same horsepower rating, im not sure of the codes off the top of my head, just do some research, that particular engine came with 250BHP and 355ft-lbs of torque at the flywheel. Its healthy...

  • try and get pre-71 engines, anything later is in the smog years and horse power starts to drop. but u can always modify them to make the same power

  • I think I should come on over and show someone how to do a 8500 rpm clutch drop in 2nd gear. never seen a video with so much fuckin reving up and nothing else, what did you buld it for, pussy

  • you are retarded

  • excuse me?

  • very nice 65 im building a 66 my self i put a 5.0 in it to give it a little kick i got a 4 speed hurst its not done yet but when it is i will make a video long live blue ovel Thunder!!

  • Very Nice! 5 stars!

    Les

  • oh and by the way, dont tell me what to do to my car....mkay pumpkin...

  • dish the factory mustang gt wheels and put some old mustang wheels on there and it sounds like shit too

  • at the time of the video, i had yet to take it to an exhaust shop and get them to bend a new pipe from the collector to the mid pipe, i went from LT headers to manifolds for lack of room...so i had a huge exhaust leak...

  • I put JBA 1653SJS in my 67. I had to do a fair amount of tweeking to make them fit. I thought 351W manifolds would interfere with the shock towers?

  • loose the ghettobrock air filter and put an xpipe on it and youll find another 20 horse.

  • i like the sound of the H better...thanks though, and i am plannin on a shaker system, so thats why i got that air "cleaner" on there...

  • sounds okay too me shoulda got in the gas a little more..ok alot more but nice work. IMO nothing sounds better than a open header 302 with way too much cam and crappy iron heads at full song but thats just me.

  • Thats how a camed ford sounds. unlike a chevy.

  • will you guys grow the fuck up and stop using my comment section as a place to debate ford vs. chevy, grwo the fuck up, god

  • I never said it was a bad sound. chill out. I have 2 mustangs myself. I wasn't debating f vs ch. each brand has their own type of sound. They can all sound good.

  • wtf kind of exhaust system is on it, mufflers? what kind?

  • for most of the video i was running with my cut-outs open....

  • sounds disgusting, should be gotten a 350 SBC now that has a nice sound not that rattling piece of crap in there

  • So it will sound like someone beating the inside of a metal dumpster with an aluminum baseball bat?

  • great!

  • its a nice engine, but what do you have it for if your not gonna use it....let me post my videos and show you hows its done

  • my mom was taping, and the neighbors have already complained once....

  • Post your videos, by the way sweet car, I have a '65 w/302 myself.

  • Watch out for them bogies, iceman.

  • wow

  • Very nice stang.

  • get that wack ass piece of shit off of my screen you mopho
