My Uncle was in Somalia and was part of this operation. American soldiers were rescued by Pakistan Army! Something which is very inaccurately shown in the movie.

Actually check your facts again brother...

4 MH-60 Black Hawks were shot down in the battle of mogadishu. 2 of them crash landed in the streets of the city. The other 2 limped back to the hangar where they crash landed at the Ranger base.

But 4 were definitely rendered inoperable as a result of RPG fire in that battle and all 4 crashed and sustained casualties.

@iamarabi2 In the Book it talks about how they have a COMNET Spy jet over looking the battle allowing Maj. Gen. Garrison to watch the battle from above. So yes they have. Will they realese it. No.

if you watch the history channel's program on the real black hawk down, they show Durant's chopper actually spinning out just before the crash. there is limiited video of it

Actually, now that I think about it, I believe that the footage I saw was in the actual movie. I know that some of the images shown on the JOC center tvs were actual tapes from the battle. Sorry, I got confused. I know I've seen the real deal footage before but I'm sure that it's really in the film.
