Epic performance. What a legend! Bowie hasn't toured since 2004, sadly I was only 11 then. I hope I'm not the only here who wants a Bowie comeback tour.
this truly is an iconic moment in both music, as well as TV entertainment. Bowie simply is one of the greatest. The look, sound, and presence. Fuckin' BOWIE Rocks!!!
its amazing how well he hides the lyric mistake int he second verse, so professional, he is one of the best there ever was for getting on with the show for the fans regardless od his condition of voice or anything else
This performance circulated among fans already in the 80ies on VHS. I myself have it since this time (in the same quality), it was hard to get it. If you occupy yourself by something, you will meet people who have it, but it was hard.

Bill Nelson on the other guitar? Like many other greats, one of Bowie's strengths has been his ability attract other great musicians.

@gecafe I think he was on the "Fashion" video also. My main memories of him are from the SNL late eighties early nineties.

Back in my childhood we called him Bawie just like on CFRA radio. Not many people remember ever having pronounced it that way.
