I want to know when will people in Washington wake up to Roosevelt's failure on the New Deal. WW2 brought this country out of the great depression. Fear is crippling. The American public is moving from fear to anger by what they see. The anger that I see every day has caused me and my wife to make plans on moving to our home in the Philippines. I am no fool nor will I be played like what. Only the blind cannot see what is coming. I want no part of the civil unrest Washington will create.

I am so glad that what sounds good to you does indeed sound good to you. Outside of the beltway the words of Obama sound as treason against the American people. This problem cannot be solved by spending. A macro system must be justified by macro fundamentals. I am glad politicians are good at politicking. They know nothing of economics hence the solution comes to sacrificing the well being of future generations while no one will fight this tyrant with real, true sound knowledge.

I'm stunned by the lack of intelligence of the average comment on this page. Do any of you really think that the 'rich' are not paying their fair share? Do any of you want to become rich so you too can pay 42% income tax. The rich are the ones paying for your government, police, schools, and everything else you use for free. Get over class warefare and realize they have been making your life better and don't have a choice but to give to you.

So this morning I was able to view the video. It really made no difference. You have not lived up to our expectations as a leader and you are not serving us or yourself very well at all. You are among a group of insignificant Republicans who have nothing better to offer than lower taxes for the rich, with the likes of Jindal, Palin and Steele leading the charge. You are so much a better person than that; time to become an individual, a leader, a fighter for the real majority of your constituency

This "behind the scenes" video pretty much matched the Republican party's stance on dealing with the economy. Nothing to see here.

Congresswoman, in your carefully measured image you rarely appear as disconnected from reality as the more vocal Republican party leaders and members, but you still stand by them. And that's a real shame. We need leaders who will put the country first, not their party.

The real issue holding this economy back is uncertaintly. Look at how the stock market reacts to Obama's plan - death spiral. Why - b/c there is no substance - what is the plan - get him to just tell us. Get these banks lending again - Small business is the engine of economic growth. There is still no money available for small business - Why aren't they lending? the banks don't know what the govn't is going to do. Who cares about the bankers jet rides - they need to lend

The Wealthy? That's the people who are building and running companies that employ Americans. Higher taxes on them means layoffs (that's unemployed workers) & less benefits. Those employers already pay most of the taxes already!

Working with Obama and Dems so far has meant a major rise in the size of the Gov, a pork bill passed that Congress didn't read and passing against the will of the people.

Seriously? Cathy, thanks to you our district continues to have some of the highest poverty and unemployment rates and lowest wages in our state. Please do what's right for a change. Make a positive difference and stop letting them use you as a prop.
