Uuuuh ? Costa gavras is a greco french director, his son is Romain Gavras, a french director too, for the Kourtrajme Production (exellent french production), this movie take place in france, with french actor, with french director.

This movie is an Algerian-French production, and it represented Algeria in the 1970 Academy Awards, and won an Oscar for Algeria. The major part of the movie was shot in Algeria.

@Shadosdemars Z was filmed in Algiers, not France. They were unable to film in Greece due to the ruling military regime at the time. The film is about events that took place in Greece.
