Try Letting your hair dry half wet and half dried and then start brushing because afterwards if you just brush your hair wet it can cause a frizz in the day and split your ends.
Second of all try using less time in the shower. Yes I know most of you may think its warm but it just takes away the softness so that's it
Also another tip that I have discovered is if you want your hair to grow out fast, wear a higher ponytail lots because it somewhat is pulling on the roots which is after a while gets bloodflow to the brain and helps your hair grow. My hair grows lots when I do this:)
I try to avoid using brushes.I found that everytime my hair would get to a certain length it would break off.I realized that it was the brush I use a comb to get through knots in my hair. The trick is working at the bottom of your hair & working with the knots. Deep conditioning lots is great for hair. When i am putting in my conditioner, i detangle my hair with my fingers & it helps distribute my conditioner way better. I have a lot of hair, so if I don't do this, I go through conditioner fast.
So i have thick hair and i iron my hair everyday!! My hair gets oily FAST!! What can i do to prevent oily hair? My secret is egg an mayo with a touch of honey make your hair soft and shiney and healthy
I also have a tip for your hair : you should switch up your shampoo and conditioner about every 2 months. If you dont then that beautiful long shiny hair you love will be gone, the reason why is because your hair gets use to the same cleansing and conditioning and it will not work as much.
I definitely Don't drink enough water. I only have cotton towels. I Can't Leave my Hair unwashed. I usually put my conditioner on my roots. I've never used heat protectants. It's time for a hair-saving Change. o__o
What good tips! I totally made many of those mistakes, and I do go through my conditioner fast, while my shampoo stays nearly full. I am definitely glad i watched this! Thanks for making it!(:
I don't use heat styling tools, I use a good conditioner, drink a lot of water... I like to EVERYTHING that is good for my hair... and I'm 13 so it never really got any damage to it but it's still LIFELESS , DRY AND UGLY.
Everytime i watch a 'Tips to heathy hair' video,There will always be the youtuber DRINK WATER everytime they say 'Drink plenyty of waterrrr/Water is very important'
I use the Loreal sulfate free shampoo and conditioner and towel dry it. But my hair always turns out frizzy in the morning. I'm gonna try these tips and see if they work! Thanx. -3
What I do is Ur gonna think it's gross like I'm not putting that on my hair but take I egg yolk 3 tablespoons olive oil and 1 tablespoon of vinegar and I put that trough my hair for 20-30 minutes and then rinse out
Coconut oil treatment once a week. Just leave in for a couple hours or overnight and then wash your hair. You could probably use regular olive oil, but coconut oil smells much better. Hardly need any, so a bottle will last you months.
I also don't use much chemicals other than shampoo on my hair cos I believe too much chemicals will eventually damage my hair. I've also never had colour on my hair. Basically, I go natural cos I believe that's the best way to keep my hair healthy and hydrated, soft and shiny. :)
Wow. U guys seem to do a lot of things and spend a lot on your hair. I don't really do much. I wash my hair on alternate days. I don't even use conditioner cos my hair is pretty soft and silky on it's own. I don't comb my hair when wet as it might cause breakage of hair. I don't blow dry my hair cos thats too much heat. I let my hair dry naturally. I don't use straighteners/curlers cos they are too much heat as well. So I go for hairdos that do not need straighteners / curlers. I also dont u
First of all seem really nice n i do exactly what u say but i also dont use much chemicals on my hair drink milk n eat lots of vegetables and fruits and i dont brush my hair when its wet i only comb it
I cant drink alot of water :S I want to get used to it as a part of my daily regulat diet but i just cant ! any solutions for that ? & about sun light : is there any good products to keep your hair protected from sun light during the day ?!
I shampoo twice because the first time is to lift up all the dirt and stuff and the second time washes away. I always blow dry my hair down because blow drying it up can cause the cuticle to push up and away from the strands and cause split ends. I also love coconut oil. Leave it in for 30 mins- an hour. And don't rub hair with the towel. It will cause frizz later on. Only comb hair with a wide tooth comb when hair is wet- no brushes because they pull to much. :) Hope I helped!
oil steam hair : 1/4 cup of olive oil and apply on your hair, put your hair in a hair net and wrap it around with a towel, wait 10-15 min, wash your hair with shampoo only .
DON'T BRUSH HAIR WHEN WET! Instead use a comb!!! This helps a lott! I also use VO5 Oil Moisterizing treatment once a week and every month or so I use the 'mayonnaise treatment' works beautifully! (1/2 cup mayo, 1/4 cup olive oil and 1 egg yolk. apply through dry hair then RINSE ONLY after about 30 minutes. shampoo later- any oil left in hair will help condition it)
I also recommend a weekly oil treatment. Just run olive or sesame oil through your hair--enough to make it very oily, but not enough to make it drippy--and put on a plastic cap or two. Wait at least an hour, then shampoo it out. To make shampooing easier, don't wet your hair prior to application. After shampoo is on, add water slowly to create suds. Give it a lighter second wash if needed.
Your hair is so nice and healthy! Im going to do what you said with the conditioner apply only the bottom. And i wear fishtail braids:) mostly because i dontwanna burn my hair everyday because i dont use het protections.
I brush through my hair after my shower and wring out the water. Then I shake out the rest of my hair using a 'head banging' motion. Upside down I then spray in leave in conditioner and my tresemme heat protectant. I let it airdry as much as possible while I do make up then blowdry and straighten. My straightener is a conair and it has a water resvoir that replaces moisture and helps steam it straight. I have almost no splits. I also use a showercap with my conditioner to lock it in!
After you shampoo in the shower, take a little bit of baby oil and masagge to the ends of your hair. then, wash it out well. In a couple of times doing this you are garunteed to see positive results. This little trik keeps your hair shiny, healthy and provents your ends from breaking. (:
You are actually the only girl here with super nice shiny hair the other videos of girls giving tips on how to get shiny hair should look at their hair in the mirror first cuz their hair sucks!!. You gave good advice and your hair rocks.
after washing our scalps we strip away the natural oils that protect our hair, and by not ever using conditioner on your scalp you are in turn actually making your hair way more oily in the long run because your scalp will create the oil faster to try and compensate. especially bad for ppl who's hair is already too oily. just get a conditioner that doesn't weigh the hair down, NOT always skip putting it on your scalp. use it REGULARLY to cut down on the amount of oil! try it, you'll see.
I keep my hair healthy and silky n soft by oiling it and wrapping a warm towel around it for like 10 mins . That treatment made my hair so frekkin manageable and silky I was like wow nvr thought I'd be this easy with my hair :)
Thank you for actually delivering useful tips. I'm very impressed that you didn't go the usual route and add stuff like "stay away from heat" or "don't dye your hair" or "get regular trims." You actually gave us something valuable and we thank you for that!
BTW girls, I just added a great video on how to get some maybelline dramateyes mascara samples for free, check it out. It will be worth 2 min of your time :)
um...its hard not to put heat on my hair...cause i have naturally curly hair,i mean REALLY curly hair...its super hard to take care of...any tips? i was thinking bout getting a perm but NO WAY not good for hair)
used to straighten my hair like ALL THE TIME because i didnt like my curly hair,
i never used the heat protecting cream or spray and when i took a good look at my hair some strings of my hair got thicker and like frizzier, can you give me any types??
whenever i see those thincker frizzy hair strings i just pull them off, ( i have thin hair)
PICKELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I havent really tried it yet but my bff has n her hair has grown bout 5 in n i wont to start goin on the diets i also use hairfood for peeps dat barely have hare n if u have lots of hare use doogro mega thick n u can find these food n products at walmart n u should massage your roots
This tutorial does nothing for me because I am biracial. I want to learn how to take care of my own hair, because salon trips are expensive for my mom, and I just wanna do it by myself. My hair is very curly, like when it's wet it looks like a jerry curl, and it's medium length and very dry, I know I'm supposed to oil it, but I don't know of any, I get my hair washed and flat ironed every 2 weeks, and I have a relaxer. Any tips?
@zulukline n_n theirs this vo5 hot oils in the pharmacy, I bleached and permed my hair once, and every time i washed it it would brake of, like corn hairs! terrendous. But! I started using this little oils and wow. I hope it does the same to you n_n stron and shiny

@zulukline mix 100% coconut oil with a little bit of rosemary essential oil (like 2-4 drops), you can use that to help with the dryness and strength of any type of hair. Apply the other tips that judy gave and you should be fine :)
@zulukline hey m asian but i also have extremely curly hair. i prefer my hair long coz ull have more styling options. ive stopped using normal commercial conditioner n replaced it with hair masque instead. what works for me are kerastase age recharge (green tub),senscience by shiseido hair masque, and fekkai.
@zulukline my trick is to make sure to squeeze as much excess water out after shampoo(only lather d roots is enough) so that hair is damp instead of soaking wet, n then massage in the masque from the ends n work ur way up without touching the roots(so ur scalp stays fresh longer). once evenly coated, usually when my hair feels thick, heavy n completely detangled i know its well coated, leave it on for 20mins to half n hour.
@zulukline u cn shave ur legs n exfoliate or do whatever u want to pass the time. once done, try to blast it with cool water to seal the shine n moisture. also invest in a good quality thick serum or moisturising curl cream such as bumble, fekkai, sebastian or fudge n apply once when hair is wet(again concentrating on the ends) and after styling. personally, i prefer curling my hair with tongs at the bottom half and flat iron just the roots.
@zulukline WHY? because wavy/curly styles at the bottom would require less touch ups that poker straight hair if ur hair is super curly coz the waves would usually last you til ur next wash, even if its for a week. so everyday, my routine is just to flat iron a little bit of curly roots and flick my bangs to the roots ddont curl too easily. if u find that ur waves drop after the 2nd or 3rd day, just flip ur head n bun ur hair for a few hours or even sleep with it.
@zulukline the next day ull have nice bouncy curls again, minus the heat,n just follow the ironing the roots guide(trust me,it only takes 3mins to get ready in d morning now).good luck trying!!
p/s:pick a shampoo for ur scalp n treatment masque for ur hair. it may take ages to tong the hair, but ur in between washes wud be such a breeze!! :)

@SHreek32 I got some free bottles of dry shampoo and decided to try it out and it definitely works. its pretty simple to use as well. The ones I tried are from Batiste. Its for between washes when you wanna get rid of dull, greasy, lifeless hair. What mine said to do was shake the can well, spray lightly all over and evenly. Massage in with fingertips and then leave for a few moments. (you may see a little discolour to your hair like white/grayish, this will go away) then you simply brush it out
i have naturally thin hair, like EXTREMELY thin where I look bald & I've been trying so much crap and I don't straighten it and nothing happens. With school, I have to wash my hair because if not, it looks like someone poured bacon grease in my hair and it's disgusting. I hate my hair and giving up is my next option. All of my friends have thick healthy hair and I'm stuck with this pain in the ass thin hair that's so ugly.
@torbor9 dont be like that ! everything comes in time ...i have had the same prob ...i used mayo ,olive , almond , castor oil in my hair and soaked it in for 20 mins and wash it out , also , washing you often strips your hair from it natural oils
@Jeyika i normally wash my hair every 3 days but if i washed it once a week despite whether or not it's been dyed, i'd be afraid of seeing big white flakes!
@PinkChocolat07 Yes I know, I don't like white flakes in my hair as well. But this is only when you have colored your hair in a professional way @ a salon. Not at your home at least that was a tip from a professional hair stylish. When I color my hair my self.... I usually don't do that.
Biotin!! It's a vitamin. It's found in fruits and such :D I love it! It keeps my hair, skin, and nails really healthy. I rinse my hair with cold water, and never brush it unless it's crucial. i drink water whenever I get the chance. I don't use any hair products except John Frieda Root Awakening shampoo and conditioner for breakage prone hair. THEN i use Lusters Pink Therapudic conditioning hairdress to tame frizz when dry.

So I use Head and Shoulders now to get rid of it, and I just don't like this shampoo. It only gets rid of dandruff, not do anything to enhance the texture of my hair or anything =( and if I go away from H&S, the dandruff comes back!! -:( so can u suggest me effective home remedies and a good shampoo with conditioner to treat thick hair with dandruff??
@Shoppingstar525 any organic shampoo with tea tree oil is good for itchy scalps and dandruff. i bought this shampoo by giovanni for $7 and it was buy one get one free so i got a conditioner too and it relieved my itchy scalp. as for dandruff, google it! they have tons of natural methods to get rid of it.
I have hair that comes down a little below my shoulders. It's naturally black, and I'm Indian, so I have naturally thick hair. Lately, I've seen my scalp is pale and it turns kinda red when I itch it. And there's a bit of dandruff that sits there, and it spreads to all around my hair when I comb it.
Well, i asked many people with very long hair what they did to get such long and healthy hair and they all said the same thing; Nothing.
You dont need to use hairproducts and such, it is not natural and if you stop use it it will only dry your hair out more. İts better if your hair grows the natural way in my opinion..
i went to morocco to see family and stuff ,, and i use argan oil ,, its a rare oil that you only find in a specific region in morocco . argan oil is known for making yout hair soft voluminous and veryy silky. i used is after buying some bottles and yess it works great . the split ends of my hair look much healthier
@jennybabeee there are no products that will help your hair to grow longer!(only extensions) Some people can have hair to theire butt and with other people it won't grow longer than the shoulders! It's important to remember that hair grows from the inside out! So take some vitamin B and wash your hair 3 times a week with a proper shampoo and always use a conditioner! If you get split ends go to your hairdresser!
Judy, Its been 5 years that I have been trying to do my hair like you did in this video. I am begging on my knees for you to do a hair tutorial on this look. Pretty Please With a Cherry On Top!!!!!!
I have a question , would aussie heat protector + hair conditioner work ? Cause , i bought it and dont really know what to think of it .. Everyone has tresemme , But i use ALL aussie stuff in my hair , so will you try it out ? And tell me (:
@MsHedleyLover i use this and it makes your hair soft, smooth, shiny, and very nice looking. I use this when my hair is damp and I spray a generous amount all over my hair concentrating on my ends. This is not very greasy but a tad sticky. The spray form is very convenient! You can expect shiny, soft hair after you finish using heat. My hair is not as dry or coarse after I straighten or curl it anymore! I recommend for all hair types. It really does its job for protecting [:
Try Letting your hair dry half wet and half dried and then start brushing because afterwards if you just brush your hair wet it can cause a frizz in the day and split your ends.
Second of all try using less time in the shower. Yes I know most of you may think its warm but it just takes away the softness so that's it

After you shampoo in the shower, take a little bit of baby oil and masagge to the ends of your hair. then, wash it out well. In a couple of times doing this you are garunteed to see positive results. This little trik keeps your hair shiny, healthy and provents your ends from breaking. (:

after washing our scalps we strip away the natural oils that protect our hair, and by not ever using conditioner on your scalp you are in turn actually making your hair way more oily in the long run because your scalp will create the oil faster to try and compensate. especially bad for ppl who's hair is already too oily. just get a conditioner that doesn't weigh the hair down, NOT always skip putting it on your scalp. use it REGULARLY to cut down on the amount of oil! try it, you'll see.

Any tips?

asuza007 1 year ago
@zulukline mix 100% coconut oil with a little bit of rosemary essential oil (like 2-4 drops), you can use that to help with the dryness and strength of any type of hair. Apply the other tips that judy gave and you should be fine :)
CHAESAIKO 1 year ago
@zulukline hey m asian but i also have extremely curly hair. i prefer my hair long coz ull have more styling options. ive stopped using normal commercial conditioner n replaced it with hair masque instead. what works for me are kerastase age recharge (green tub),senscience by shiseido hair masque, and fekkai.
sophink10 6 months ago
@zulukline my trick is to make sure to squeeze as much excess water out after shampoo(only lather d roots is enough) so that hair is damp instead of soaking wet, n then massage in the masque from the ends n work ur way up without touching the roots(so ur scalp stays fresh longer). once evenly coated, usually when my hair feels thick, heavy n completely detangled i know its well coated, leave it on for 20mins to half n hour.
sophink10 6 months ago
@zulukline u cn shave ur legs n exfoliate or do whatever u want to pass the time. once done, try to blast it with cool water to seal the shine n moisture. also invest in a good quality thick serum or moisturising curl cream such as bumble, fekkai, sebastian or fudge n apply once when hair is wet(again concentrating on the ends) and after styling. personally, i prefer curling my hair with tongs at the bottom half and flat iron just the roots.
sophink10 6 months ago
@zulukline WHY? because wavy/curly styles at the bottom would require less touch ups that poker straight hair if ur hair is super curly coz the waves would usually last you til ur next wash, even if its for a week. so everyday, my routine is just to flat iron a little bit of curly roots and flick my bangs to the roots ddont curl too easily. if u find that ur waves drop after the 2nd or 3rd day, just flip ur head n bun ur hair for a few hours or even sleep with it.
sophink10 6 months ago
@zulukline the next day ull have nice bouncy curls again, minus the heat,n just follow the ironing the roots guide(trust me,it only takes 3mins to get ready in d morning now).good luck trying!!
p/s:pick a shampoo for ur scalp n treatment masque for ur hair. it may take ages to tong the hair, but ur in between washes wud be such a breeze!! :)

If iwere to use baby powder wouldnt that leave your hair all nasty and dicoloredd.Andd the wholee dry shampoo how does tht work.
SHreek32 1 year ago

1) I dont wash it everyday unless i get super sweaty and if my hair is super oily.
2) I never did use hot tools now. If i did, i will use a heat protectant.
3) Drink loads of water and eat your fruits and vegetables!
4) I tie my hair in a loose braid so it wont tug on my hair and cause split ends.
5) I use Olive Oil on my hair every single day so it remains shiny, soft and healthy :D

My tips:
Use Biotin vitamins they get your hair more strong and shiny
horse hair shampoo I know is great for hair
don't use hot tools on your hair every day
Don't wash your hair every day and if you just color your hair
just wash your hair 1 day of the week only the first 2 week after you got the color .
Jeyika 1 year ago
@Jeyika i normally wash my hair every 3 days but if i washed it once a week despite whether or not it's been dyed, i'd be afraid of seeing big white flakes!
PinkChocolat07 1 year ago

Shoppingstar525 1 year ago

Shoppingstar525 1 year ago
Well, i asked many people with very long hair what they did to get such long and healthy hair and they all said the same thing; Nothing.
You dont need to use hairproducts and such, it is not natural and if you stop use it it will only dry your hair out more. İts better if your hair grows the natural way in my opinion..

i went to morocco to see family and stuff ,, and i use argan oil ,, its a rare oil that you only find in a specific region in morocco . argan oil is known for making yout hair soft voluminous and veryy silky. i used is after buying some bottles and yess it works great . the split ends of my hair look much healthier
12457874645 1 year ago
@jennybabeee there are no products that will help your hair to grow longer!(only extensions) Some people can have hair to theire butt and with other people it won't grow longer than the shoulders! It's important to remember that hair grows from the inside out! So take some vitamin B and wash your hair 3 times a week with a proper shampoo and always use a conditioner! If you get split ends go to your hairdresser!

I have a question , would aussie heat protector + hair conditioner work ? Cause , i bought it and dont really know what to think of it .. Everyone has tresemme , But i use ALL aussie stuff in my hair , so will you try it out ? And tell me (:
MsHedleyLover 1 year ago
@MsHedleyLover i use this and it makes your hair soft, smooth, shiny, and very nice looking. I use this when my hair is damp and I spray a generous amount all over my hair concentrating on my ends. This is not very greasy but a tad sticky. The spray form is very convenient! You can expect shiny, soft hair after you finish using heat. My hair is not as dry or coarse after I straighten or curl it anymore! I recommend for all hair types. It really does its job for protecting [:
