Great spinner by Toutanki at the end of round 2 vs Guile! Very difficult match-up for T. Hawk. Best option is to play Dhalsim, or Sagat vs Guile, who can both defeat him much easier than non-projectile throwing characters. Hawk's flying head is almost useless against Guile, since he can jump hit or standing jab Hawk out of it almost at will.
Excellent play by Muteki, but Hawk allowed some opportunities that coulda made the outcome different. I was surprised he did a rh against that Super in the first round instead of the headbutt, which could've made that totally different. And I think some of those safe c frds on waking Guile coulda been c jab into 360 instead. Can't allow any chances against a Guile that good.
what the hell is a headbutt? boxer's attack? its called a tomahawk buster (dragon punch motion) and it probably wouldnt hit guile bc its slower than a rh in reaction. anyways, toutanki if in the top 3 of hawk players in the world, so stop talking shit kids
@ 4:12 look at how Toutanki dominates the round by using negative edge typhoons, he either gets the typhoon or just blocks (negative edge property), and basically repeats if he gets the typhoon.
Thing is Old T.Hawk and ST Hawk are very good at this but the execution skills have to be top notch in order to do them. HDR Hawk in this aspect is weaker but overall he is better because he can get in easier, but loses the loop, loop is scarier than Zangief's SPD tricks.
Not trying to insult Toutanki or anything, but he gave up so many pressure opportunities after he knocked guile down (he just backed off?). The only round where he dominated was when he was actually willing to follow guile after the knockdown and do some tick-typhoons. Is he that scared of a reversal?
@Jasmini Haha, you might think so but Guile was way better defensively, offensively and all around in WW, CE, and HF. Guile is only mid tier is super turbo, but can be used very affectively but only by a few.
those t hawk players should try jumping straight up over those sb's. they kept trying to jump over them or falcon dive them which was gettin them killed.
Good match. Muteki obviously knew what he was dealing with, and 4:16 - 4:26 gives us a good idea as to why he was spamming Sonic Booms so much. A good T. Hawk is rare.

whatever happened to play for fun? it's the point of play.
i'm a serious 3s player who dabbles in s2 sometimes. watching this reminds me of watching tournament standard chuns vs yamazaki, one of the best 12 players. it's usually so inevitable it's depressing regardless of ability.
Very true and very understandable. Casuals can be fun, sure. I'll play Necro in 3S and Cammy in ST, but when its on the line, I'm going to switch to Chun or Balrog in order to win.
no that's completely not true, even though the capcom guide says so. basically everything chun can do out-prioritises pretty much everything 12 can do. besides her advantages in just about every possible department other than range (sometimes). her back+fp beats almost anything 12 can do in the air, it's a myth that she struggles vs his aerial game. also even if you hit her with fk for example she can sa2 you before you have even recovered from your own attack. she is one of the worst for 12.

btw i take back calling muteki cheap. i don't think he's cheap and i know he's really good, but it's just so frustrating seeing a matchup being so influential in the result. 'may the best man win' simply isn't always the case in any game which isn't totally balanced. i know it will never be totally balanced unless everyone uses the same char but still...
As a T. Hawk player, I really feel for Toutanki here - it's an incredibly hard match up for T. Hawk.
Besides the super, is there any difference between O. Hawk and ST Hawk?

Two of my all time favourite players:D Much cred to Toutanki for using such a "shitty" character and doing impossible stuff on a regular basis

toutanki got some balls, even muteki's guile being out of this world, this is a terrible match-up for hawk.

guile favorite. zangief and timothy hawkins cant fuck with down fierce and flash kick.

I have one question, why do they call him muteki if his name written on the video es "mute guile"?

Muteki is the best Guile player in the world period. That's exactly how you are suppose to play that matchup if you are Guile.

Tomo is the best guile player in the world. Then Jeff schausffer (think thats his last name) is second. Muteki is like 30th in the list -_-

cheap ass guile, how do they get off thinking he's good whilst toutanki is having to work so much harder
meatflowers 3 years ago
1. you don't know anything about high level street fighter play, 2. muteki is the best guile player in the world
OldEQlvl60 3 years ago 18
If hawk gets close enough, not even muteki can escape from his cyclone trap.
thats why toutank works even harder
platefork 3 years ago 15
Play to win.
Toutanki would have had a bit more time to play if he tried straight jumping the booms, but Muteki is a charge buffer machine.

Chun vs Twelve is actually even, with Twelve theoretically holding an advantage. Now, Twelve vs any other character... :P
