There is (game wise) F1 06 for PS2 which is F1 Championship Edition just revamped for PS3 graphics and Grand Prix for PC gamers, though I do believe nothing has been out since the 4th edition (could be wrong).

Then there are the newer F1 09 for PSP and Wii & F1 2010 for all major consoles inc the awesome PS3!!!! Woot woot! Both latter made by Codemasters but F1 06 by Sony. F1 is F1 fullstop so if you looking for authentic then F1 2010 is for you (tho I will always keep F1 Champ Edition) =)

@NesoDomino get close to the barier if u spin up it will save u. also check out alonso turn 1 line, unusual but gets better exit . i use it now and do 1.12.578 with tow 1.13.008 without tow in auto on a normal duelshock pad

i hate that chicane. if you ride on the curb too much your inside wheels go airborne cuz the curb is high and its a relatively fast chicane

I know, you can't enter too quickly because even if you manage to keep all four wheels on the track and generally pointing in the same direction, the amount of time you'll lose will be crucial as you won't get back up to speed anything like as quickly. It's just better to hit the brakes, and just slam on the exit for a run down to sector 3.

P.s, can anyone tell me the best way to record my own laps/races? I see many good ones like this one that look like they were linked to pc so no bad graphic or moving cam lol! I'd like to do it like this. Would appreciate any replies =)

I have recorded my races with DVD recorder. I recall I linked my ps3 to rcorder and reorder to TV. Just like recording some TV program. Easy way to bring videos from dvd disc to PC. I have understood that it's not so easy to record races straight to PC(any tips?). That would save many discs.

I myself have a Dazzle DVC 100, called "DVD Recorder"

I use 3 AV splitters (Male to x2 Female) a 3 Phono to phono cable

and then I use my X360 and I WOULD use my computer if it wasnt broken. I'm buying a new one right now, so maybe one day I'll make a tutorial? F1 2010 comes out soon so I will be sure to post some thigns if you would like to watch them :)

@michael696925 No one seems to have answered so I will. You could try a capture card device. Quite expensive to get a good quality one though. Got mine this christmas and will start using it soon. A good quality one is the Hauppaugge HD PVR!

I drive good..normal. The problem with online is that some people have a wheel and or use the pad on the controller and they can go fafster than people using the thumbstick to turn. It causes accidents and many as*holes on there. The spanish wreck a lot too. Playstation is still free tho friend no d'oh ;P . Just stick your internet /ethernet in the back of the ps3 and race : D .

the only problem with wired connection is you obviously need to be close to theethernet and the cables arent usually very long. I wish the f1 09 was coming out for the next gen systems tho lol not psp. And its not new f1 ce the people who make f1 ce lost the license. Codemasters makes the new f1 game, dont know what it's called. Ce is still online for Europe but not in north america lol. 2010 will be online of course (:D .

this game is lame, I was so annoyed with everyone just crashing into when your winning and the other player who rammed you escaped with no damage even though they rammed you at 160mph. Every game I joined had damage on. It's like GT5 prologue, real driving simulator? what's real about it? ramming other cars on bends and spinning 360degrees and escaping damage is real? on GT5 it's even worse.

Yes, there is able to play with damage. But unfortunately it's like fps games that if you die you will respawn again. So if you damage your car too much your car respawn fully repaired. You can repair your car in pit but repairing a car by crashing it may be useful as well :D. So, the game is really lakcing...

Online you can't set up your car, but offline yes. Creating own server you are able to change game settings. There is no real damage in online.

I haven't played F1CE for a very long time, so I can't say if there's a lot of people playing online. But there is a real server list so you are able to join enywhere you want or even create own room.

Probably will see in 2009 if developers are able to create better F1 game than F1CE(poor physics).

If you just use TC help and ABS physics are quite good. And car is not as easy to drive too. I drive Rfactor, Race, GTR, GRid, etc... everything. For me to drive F1 rfactor mods are more easy than this F1 of PS3. THis game can be configured as arcade with a lot of helops and more real just leaving TC and ABS. If you take TC out it's very hard to drive... try it.

I will never understand f1-game developers. They always tend to make the same mistakes with the games. I mean, don't they sometimes ask themselves: "Hhhm, the sound of the cars in our games are completely different than´the one of real F1 Cars?" or " Why is the suspension immediately damaged in reality when a car hits a wall whereas in our games the suspension still shows no sign of malfunction?"
