spiders as big as that and bigger turn up in my pool skimmer all the time in south carolina, USA. i don't know what kind of spider that is but it's the same thing i find all the time. here's some fun facts about those spiders: they can run on top of water faster than i can swim-ive been chased by them a few times-no bullshit, and they can live underwater for a loooong time. i cant pull my skimmer out by hand i have to use a coat hanger or something, cuz im scared shitless of them.

i live in south east london and i can tell u that there are much bigger spiders in this country than that. the legs made it look bigger than it is. u have the wolf spider/massive and u even have a uk funnel web spider/not poisonous.

i didnt think we had one's like this until. we was moving old house bricksand a hugh black silky looking spider with green eyes appear and it was massive man and ive seen another looked like a tarantular was standing on its back legs lol! but outside..maybe some1's lost pet i guess or imported from cloths or sumthing i no some1 who found white spiders a few times where they worked opening boxes of imported clothes !...but yes now days we get much bigger ones an they will keep getting bigger 2 !!

hey gothicg, yeah same as my spider, just a housespider, they're harmless but quick, nothing to worry about, they tend to avoid humans as much as possible. theres one like has a web in my room for the last 5 months and hasnt moved! they're quite common in the uk and ireland.

It's a male house spider. Very common in the UK. They are seen most in the autumn, when males go walkabout in search of a lady. Although they can bite, it is very unlikely that they will. The bite is no worse than a pinprick. Females can live for up to 2 or 3 years and they do a very good job in ridding your house of other unwanted crawling pests. For all that, I also find them scary, but honestly, they are pretty much harmless to humans.
