If you were to tune and configure a GTR for 1000+ hp, it would cost you about as much as a bugatti engine (few 100ks), need new engine. Even if it did beat the Bugatti, not by much, the engine will be beat after, and will most likely run into a problem. Bugatti wont feel a thing, thats what da money pays for.

Not really, higher and higher speed the shape of the car matters a lot. i.e. it doesnt matter how much money you put into a truck, your not going to beat a true high speed car un-tuned, or un-upgraded. higher speed shape matters even more. The money it would take to make a bugatti grade car, the right way (not half as* that will just break), would take bugatti type of money do to it.
