Kovalev showed how he can play last year and he still showed it with the very best point sequence i nthe NHL this year; 14 points in 7 games.

Also, he scored in both loosing deals in the series. The news said about:" Markov will surely end first scorer, but knowing that it's Kovy following, I wouldn't bet he can't. 8 points ain't nothing for him."

He's a master when he sets for it. My favorite player by far. He makes the habs win. Gainey have to sign him; he's the Bell center God.

I'll explain what happened this year.

When it goes wrong, it goes wrong. Health troubles doomed the team. They had the best 1/2 season in 25years this year. Before the All-Star game, we were some 5-6 points behind Boston.

If Tanguay, Latendresse, Lang and Bouillon didn't felt, MTL would have probably stopped his drop; remember they felt 5 ranks loosing for almost 2 months. I can't remember a team with a loosing streak this long who played the series.

Also, if the Leafs didn't played vicious hits, we would have finished with Schneider and Markov.

Now remake the whole story and take aside these injuries. You have Lang, Tanguay and Bouillon for the whole 82 games... Does this rise the Canadians? Yes. Would they had felt on a 2 months bad playing? No.

See BOston who lost 16 in 19 at some point. MTL would have passed aside. It's not like the third goaler at hamilton felt; these are key players lost for long at the wrong time.

He's the last player willing to play in the play-offs right now.

Gainey has to sing Tanguay, Kovy, Komisarek. The others, he can play like he wants with. I'd like Koivu and Hamerlik to leave. Hamerlik played like Rivet this year: a big guy affraid of the trafic.

Koivu tries it hard, but it's not getting any better than the other. He's taking money off the team pockets and holds a place he can't fill. 75 pts at his best.

I dont know man, it's just been such a let down for us this season. I know Kovy's been taking most of the blame, but it's not his fault. Plek, Higgi, Komi, Price, Kostitsyns, all had a bad season. I think he should cut loose Koivu and put the C on Kovy. Their season took a dive when those injured guys started coming bak. And then we lost Lang (ouch).
