bov can kinda get annoying esp as a daily car. BUT! they do sound quite the coolness BUT! almost every turbo'd car has one nowadays SO! it doesnt sound so new and awesome like it used to. ++

hey, do the 08 sedan parts for the wrx's fit for the 09 sedan's as well?? ive only seen the hatchback parts out rather the sedans..

well, all i can tell you is that the 08 hatchback parts, well most of them will fit my 09, i really dont know about the sedan, but im pretty sure that most of the parts will fit

Hey Combatscou! I see you already put in aftermarket parts in ur 09. I have the same car except I got one with a bad batch of rod bearings, so im currently going through the 09 engin issues. how many km/miles does your car have and how's she running? i hope ur car has balls of steel unlike mine. i was panning on throwing in exhuast and bov + others, but now im too scared of voiding warranty. incase of another engine failure.

My car have around 6,000 miles on it and no problems with the engine whatsoever, if you are getting a turboback on yours, i recommend that you get the accessport as well, it will make a big difference, it will get your boost level to 18psi and redline at 6900 instead of 6500 stock, i have a BOV but took it off becacue it was making the car run too rich and it uses more gas and it also made this loud Pop sound that i didnt like

I haven't got the chance to take it to the track so I don't know, but it is pretty quick, big difference from when I bought it stock

The popping sound was because of the BOV. What happens is the MAF sensor detects air that is later released by the BOV so the car throw more gas than what is needed since the air that was going to enter the throttle left through the BOV. This causes a rich condition and that is why it pops. Thats why its better to just recirculate.

also, i just installed this turboback and it backfires when I shift, most of the times is on 3rd gear, Do you thing is this BOV or is it because it has no cat?

ur hearing a pop noise? dont worry thats normal with cats removed...and dont listen to him ur good with the bov u have now, although it would be better to get one that is 50/50. u need to get a speedo run :)

Demon, i removed the BOV and it doesn't make that pop sound anymore but now i miss the wooosh sound

lol yea...try to find a bov that does 50% vent to atmosphere, and 50 recirc...also, the cobb reflash map that u have, are u sure its one that is for having a bov? make sure u load the one thats stage to with bov

No, the map that I upload was for turboback only, no CAI or BOV, COBB doesn't have anything else out there, I guess the car is too new.

surgeline has Accesport tunes for a lot of mods... try them, they might have one for all of that.
