could please please please share the letter version of that song I love fringe and i would really love if i could be able to play this song on my virtual piano!!!!!!!!!!
Good tutorial, I'm learning this for my step mum to surprise her on her birthday because we both love fringe. You just made it a heck of a lot easier, thank you!
why in gods name havent i subscribed to you yet??....im saddend that youve been around and i didnt even know, but im gladanded by the fact that i have found you know :D
Sorry to say but I'm just such a perfectionist and I have to say this. the left hand is
not C Es As when it changes from C Es A but its "C Es C Es As". You know? Cause if you don't do that you will miss a note, and the song get kinda messed up.
so basically (whole left hand) is't: "C Es G (2x) C Es, C Es As (2x) C Es, B D F(2x)
B D, G B D(2x)" and thats it! Hear it? If you don't believe me you can look it up.
Btw, Thanks for this vid, made me want to play it! ;)
well, it is awesome, but u missed some notes. If u listen to the original version u would found two more quavers at the end of each bar, but anyway, thanks a lot!
Great tutorial, though I have to say the timing with both hands is actually wrong, if you listen to the Theme Song you'll hear the difference. Just thought I should tell you :) Thanks again
it sounds like you are missing a few notes. i dont know what the term is, but its like the step between positions of the tune. just listen to the original version and yours, theres no way you can miss it. dont mean to be rude or anything, its just been bugging the piss out of me for a while.
how is that not a good tutorial? i dont even play piano, at all... and w/ like 4-5 hours of practicing all of the parts, then all of them together i can play it thru perfect...
time to go find the full song and try to learn the rest
can you put the sheets like cm and those so it would be easier to understund the black keys becourse it hard to see what black keys you play... (i bought piano like 2 month's ago so it would be easier to learn this song) :DD thanks anyway i undestund this song a little more :DD
My god he's more like a evil panda, But Awesome dude your awesome and Fringe is the best thing ever!. But yes torley your good at your art, i used to play classic but it turned into play nothing lol. Oh well i still have some Chopin embedded in my brain and fingers, and with no recollection of sheet notes, i can just play those last 3 songs that i used to know by heart.
Great tutorial! The software youre using really helps me get a good look on things, but damn, that second part is hard. Ive never practiced playing with two different tempos at the same time before. o.o'
I was listening to the Fringe theme on another video, and I noticed that when you play the left hand, you play the notes in the chord, twice, nothing else. But in the actual song, it goes C, E flat, G, C, E flat, G, C, E flat, and then does the same thing with the next chord. This opens up some space in the melody. Anyway, just thought you should know.
If you could tape yourself play and have this software record all the notes you hit, that would probably give less of a head ache to those who DARE try to make piano sheets of your masterpieces ;)
hmmm. you could probably use a video editing software to change the colors of the keys entirely but im not sure how that'd turn out.
its really just because right behind the black keys is the piano... which is black. maybe just mask that part of the piano to a different color using sony vegas... if you have it/know how to do that :D
Omg thank you so much Torley! Although I play a musical keyboard also (a Yamaha btw!) I have never been able to read sheet music, so learning a new piece can be a laborious process. This will make it easy for me :-)
@GtmTrueKilla: I agree. I don't know how to customize their colors/highlights, so a possible improvement is getting into OTHER software which displays keys better. Have a recommendation?

Would of been great if you had decided to isolate the secound half of the right hand too, because i'm having trouble deciphering your notes :/

This isn't how you played it on your other video. The left hand on your other video is:
c d# g c d# g c d#
c d# g# c d# g# c d#
adding the c d# each time which sounds a lot better when you're playing at normal speed. This was throwing me off and I hope it helps other people.

Hi Torley,
Could you please post the notes of this song in Text format in the video info section.
I ask because I don't play piano or keyboard, but rather MIDI Virtual Instrutments so I don't know how to read piano keys or notes.
Thank you.
