Jesus christ, number 2 is probably the craziest. I imagine flying low with a fast fighter jet with very quick control response is very different then flying a big tanker with no doubt slower responses, especially that low. Situational awareness is also greater in a fighter jet where your field of view is greater, so that has to be a factor as well. I'm surprised the pilots of that tanker were able to fit their balls in the flightdeck.
