just a heads up, the 2003 Mustang was about 260hp stock and weighed in at around 3500lbs

the Civic was 200 and is 500lbs lighter,

99-04 V6 mustangs weigh 3,112-3,115lbs

99-04 GT mustang weigh in a 3,273-3,280lbs

@ImAuthenticFTW something was messed up during this race, even stock 99-04 GT would crush a newer civic Si no problem. could be the mustang driver, just for some info newer civics run 6.5sec 0-60(mustang 99-04 5.5sec) and civic 1/4 mile high 14's and 15's(mustang 99-04 14 even). it should have been a blowout honestly

Going fast in a straight line does not define a good car. Euro cars would, but in America we like to drag race ;). In europe they have a lot of curves and very weird geography, you have to assume their cars and lifestyle is suited as so. In america, it's home of the big open fields, straight salt flats and some of the most powerful cars ever built. No disrespect to anyone, but a mustang would kill a civic in a course too. Front wheel drive cars have a hard time around a track, the back wheels lift off in the corners. :S

You can build a car for the strip, or the track. It just so happens most people build there muscle cars for the strip. But ive seen PLENTY of american, RWD, V8 cars set up for the track, and they have no trouble at all keeping up with european and japanese cars. Most cars stock handling is pretty shitty as there more set up for comfort then performance. But please keep your ignorance out of here, its not hard to make an american car handle amazingly.

I just raced a stock 2004 Mustang GT in my Si with Headers.

I won 0-55 by half a car because of wheelspin for him, but from 0-70, he beat me by half-1 car.

yes im aware they stopped making theFox body in '93 then '94-'95 they started making the SN95 style w/ the 5.0 then in '96-'98 started using the 4.6 and i think we know wut goes from there and im just saying that the older fox body 5.0's are some of the slower mustangs ever made...soooo yeaa, trust me I know my mustangs

yea i can launch the car good too, but the driver in the GT was a friend of mine i tried to get like 2 1/2 cars for the race but he stright was like "hell no, i know you can drive and that a quick lil car go heads up" he wasnt pissed he kinda knew that it was gonna end that way, im taking it to the track tonight to see what kinda time i can get.
