How perfect his voice was or wasn't isn't the point ... Those of us who grew up on this show were attracted to the characters and storylines. In the middle of the season one DVD, I find myself being touched as I get reaquainted with this unique show that has only been matched topic wise by only a few shows (Boston Public maybe), but as a whole has never been duplicated. Great stuff.

Of course everyone is entitled to his own opinion ;-) maybe he didn't have an extraordinary voice but he put his heart at it that's why I like it
