Big thing left out of this video... Watch out for sellers bidding up their own auction. It happens ALOT when something isn't pulling the sort of money the seller was looking for and you are at a "No Reserve" auction.
It's hard to track this sort of thing unless you come early and watch people wheeling the games in, and even then you can't be sure. Most auction houses allow this and it only gets worse if they know the seller and will agree to not charge him the 10% fee.
@Nightenstaff Great point! Buybacks are one of the things we cover in the post for this video on our website. We also talk about what to take to an arcade auction as well as some other general tips for buyers and sellers.
I love Arcade Auctions! So much cheaper than CL or Ebay, only thing I hate is buy backs but I set a price in my head for something so I don't get into bid wars with the person who owns it. Great video!
I hate auctions where they add not only tax but gavel prices on top of the bid. If I bid $200, I'm paying $200. Everyone can take their cut out of that. But that's just my preference.
@mgabrysSF I've been to many auctions. It all depends on what kind of auction it is. It's just a matter of knowing before going in. If I'll have all sorts of extra charges on top I don't tend to bid as high as I would otherwise.

@MoreDakka101 : You've never been to an auction then. I've never seen an auction - arcade or not - that doesn't have fees and taxes attached.
