Martinez really could have been alot better player than she was. She actually could hit a huge and sweet forehand yet here she is giving Monica moonballs off that side. She struggled to mantain an agressive enough mentality vs the top players, especialy the big hitters.
i have watched it and martinez was the form player on the clay that year... then it came to sf - it was a sloppy match till the tie break second set and the third set martinez just froze,
