It's how I feel today. I would love for that "one" to feel this for me. He won't let go of that one who had him for a few minutes...and it hurts to feel like I'll never be THAT special. I guess I try too hard....but then...I feel ''ugly''. I do love this song...it brings out those times that were good. When we were young...and enjoyed so much.
On this date in 1978 {Jan. 28th} "If I Can't Have You" entered Billboard's Top 100 chart; on May 13th it would peak at No. 1 {for 1 week} and spent a total of 22 weeks in the Top 100!!!
{A side note: From Dec, 24th, 1977 to May 19th, 1978; Player's "Baby Come Back" was the only No. 1 during that time period not written by a Gibb family member}
esta cancion me trae muchos recuerdos, cuantos romances tuve bailando este tema gracias por recopilar las canciones de ella porque no se encuentra es muy escaso
No one's probably gonna read this, but I’ll say it anyway cuz I feel at least 1 person will. I'm a young designer and graffiti artist, I know there's a million out there but I feel like my art has a unique individual style.
If you just take a min and give me a chance I'll make you a believer. I would love nothing more than to have a loyal following on YouTube. If anyone who reads this could press the "THUMBS UP" others will see it. Just a simple button push will make a huge difference.
AFTER THE ATTEMPTS OF TERRORIST 2001 TO US THE REPUBLICAN AND NEWS I CAN STILL SAY THAT YOU WERE MY FRIEND. ME THE COMPOSER OF THIS PIECE OF MUSIC. LOVE TO YOU. DEAR FRIEND. TILL NEXT.
Fantastic song!!! Great music and lyrics. This song is the 70s!!! - the late 70s at Mr. C's Disco across from the Hammond Buildiing on East College Avenue. WOW!!! Great memories forever.
Great tune and memories..... but this not live. She can sing live but this is the studio track. And the mouthing is VERY off. Not sure if it's her or the video.
I grew up in the 90s but my parents played 60s-80s music all the time. I remembering singing this in the car with my mom lol. As a kid I imagined Yvonne as a black woman for some reason so I was surprised when I actually looked her up. It's cool, there should be more Asian Americans in mainstream media.

@hairyhothornylover1 She went back to Hawaai and di a Hawaiian Album. She still does some appearances. Has to grown children. She is 60 yrs old and still looks good.
back in 77, we were 18 and after school we went for drinks in a local pub and on juke box : yvonne elliman (but more often we played 'Hello, Stranger' of her, a number rather difficult to find today (eg I Tunes) and that's a pity ...
@barber747 She's Irish-Japanese-Chinese. This performance is no doubt lip-synched, which was common for the time. They had a whole orchestra on the track, including a rare french horn solo. (for a pop song) Great song and a great voice, wish she had done more music.
@MsCarlyn74 Yvonne Elliman did NOT marry Maurice Gibb. She married a guy named Oakes in the early '70s and married a guy named Wade Hyman in '81, with whom she had kids.
@PatriotTrueAmerican Despite Glenn Beck's general assholery, he does one thing right; he refers to what we think of as "liberals" as what they really are, "progressives." If this were a video of a gay pride parade, of obama, of someone burning a flag, war protesters, or anything else that could conceivable fit into your categories of what gays, liberals, and traitors are, then I could see the cause of this comment. But THIS song!?
@PatriotTrueAmerican The Constitution of the United States implicitly states that all expressions of speech (music falls within this) are protected by the First Ammendment, within reason. you can totally tell by these 70's singers that they're singing with all their hearts, just look at their faces. today's singers just have dollar signs in front of their eyes!
