Well Kandy, I'm very sorry for you too. I hope you enjoyed my vid enough to make your heart a little lighter. Thanks for checking out my sweet littles.
There are many speciality foods on the market for ferrets. They are mainly carnivores with short digestive systems so they need a high quality concentrated protein diet designed for them. I feed my dog, cat and ferrets Innova EVO made by Natura. They have a special blend for each different animal. Best I could find and the animals thrive on it. They also get small doses of ferret specific treats daily. Thanks for asking.
Rene, thanks for looking in. They are an exteremly pleasant handful if they get their regular playtime. Very social little critters and they don't care what size the critter is that they socialize with. Me or my dog, cat or each other. I think they'd socialize with an elephant if they could. They are fearless and that can get them into trouble. Love 'em all and they love me right back.
I knew about California but not New England. All of the states up there? It's a shame because they have been domesticated for thousands of years and have had the wild instinct for survival bred out. If set free they would try to find a burrow but would probably die of starvation. They know how to play but not how to hunt.
aww i'm so sorry about your ferret, my rabbit passed away the same day

He was actually playing with Puck in the tent. When he got to the couch he and Titania (my only girl pet) started to play gotcha with each other.

Glad you enjoy them. They are little thieves and the first thing they steal is your heart.

Did you know that owning ferrets are illegal in New England? Cute critters, too.

I can tell you love these littles by the way you are handling them. So gentle! Puck is cute with the mouth open on the back "I'm so tough!" pose.

Puck likes to hide in the tent or tunnel and sneak his head out to play. Thinks he's sly that way. Quite the character.
