Eh, sad to see them lose at home but Melbourne did pretty good as an A-league team playing against a Japanese team in a league with no salary cap and can afford to buy 7 internationals and 3 brazilians for their team.

i don't understand why people think Gamba osaka is rich, when in fact its totally not when you compare it to other j league clubs such as the marinos, kashima and urawa. Gamba compared to them are tiny financially. Maybe richer than MVFC but seriously the papers should really stop painting them as rich because they are not. It was a good game, but victory created defensive errors which gave gamba the advantage.

Yea... actually, Gamba is one of those club that spends less and still have a great squad. Nagoya, Marinos, Kashima, and Urawa is far more superior financially.

Hey Aussie, you must realise Gamba is not the strongest team in J League. We have much stronger team like Yokohama F Marinos, Kashima Antlers and Kawasaki Frontale. And you may remeber Urawa Reds. I hope all of you Melbourne supporters don't become too disappointed, because our J League is the BEST football league in Asia.
