@ironfistfreddie lol u not of what u speak. K1 is DEAD not going down. They had 2 sponsors and 1 american invester and the last ditch deal went south. I know cuz i was su[ppose to have a contract last may.They had to have a sponsor just to pay for badrs last check.Badr knows little of thesweet science, he knows how to smash. His "boxing" is developed for kickboxing and its only recently(12months or so) that he is formally engaging in the science full out.

Btw $45m does not mean Tyson walks away with the whole sum, it was split between the fighters. Tyson v Holyfield fight was split with each fighter getting $40m, Holyfield being than the number 1 contender and Lewis having just being KOed by Mcall it was the right option.

King's goal ofcourse was to make as much money off of Tyson's name as he possibly could FOR AS LONG AS HE COULD. That meant avoiding risk. He arranged that utterly absurd Peter McNeely fight as a comeback, and rather than going after the belt that Lewis held chose the harmless Seldon.
In the Cus damato days Tyson fought anyone, and fought freaking 15 times a year.

@lucky44124 It's not gassing out when it goes twelve rounds. Just because he has so much first round knock outs then fights someone who takes him to the twelfth and he doesn't ko them means he lost. Most people thought that when you fight prime Mike Tyson it was a survival to see who would last the longest. He is a boxer, he lost and people make it seem like it was the end because they thought he wasn't going to lose until he was in his late 30s or at 40+.

Tyson said no, He signed for his 2nd and Tyson faked a rib injury... He didnt fight Foreman because on TV Foreman would say after fights "We want Tyson!!" Then in a meeting Tyson told George, hell no you would kill me... Lewis actually had to go to court to get him to fight him and he wouldnt! Tyson dropped the belt & paid him $4 million in 1996.

Check your facts and listen to interviews... Douglas said "when he saw Tyson coming forward and planting... he would back up and make Tyson get out of his plant so he had to redo it all over again". Tyson was easy to figure out he fought the sameway since he was 13. He never changed the basics... He never put a new wrinkle into his game.. BECAUSE he never fought anyone after King was involved. Douglas & Holyfield both looked at his feet, his balance, even in the 1988 Spinks Pre Fight Overage, Sugar Ray did a piece talking on how Tyson kept his feet together, his balance was off.... he needed to plant his feet to throw bombs. Youtube Search it. Tyson Spinks Prefight Coverage) Dougals saw this and when Tyson would plant... he just backed up so Tyson had to move forward and re-plant. IF Sugar Ray was reporting on Tysons bad footwork/balance in 1988 UNDER Rooney. It was known!!

Douglas beat Tyson because Tyson's head movement, and interest to Fight hard was worn away, he didn't train hard and wasn't the same fighter mentally for that fight. Watch the start of the second round of Tyson vs Berbick, and infact any of his prime fights, he was excellent at punching while moving forward.
