  • That's why it's call heel & toe :)

So what I do is call toe & heel. lol

  • that´s racing...

  • sears point will always be sears point....not infineon that just sounds gay

  • @seyloisqueer4life to infineon, and beyond

  • Ricky is silly good. Never will be another like him

  • Great vid.

  • Why can't Nascar be this good now?I was having fun watching Ricky Rudd heel/toe!!!Awesome!!!This is way better than watching the drivers of today drive those junky COT cars.....

  • That is some awesome footwork!

  • Fantastic. People here in England don't understand Nascar drivers, they think the majority are over rated, over weight and over paid. I've always been a supporter and seeing clips like this is a welcome reminder why I respect the NASCAR cup drivers.

  • Okay, I got it - I guess he replaces the ABS with his foot:)

  • Why is he pumping the brake sometimes?

  • @7xradzam To make sure they are still there, if they didn't fail.

  • @7xradzam Every race car driver does that, checking the brake is there before they really jump into their braking zone

  • @7xradzam I do it on occasion in specific corners because the brake pads tend to separate when the wheel is bumped hard, like hitting curbs. It just gets the brake pads back close to the rotor so the pedal is nice and firm. If I don't do that then the pedal is soft and it changes how the brakes respond. Sometimes I want that, sometimes no.

As for "pumping", he could be losing vacuum pressure in the assist system. Pumping would make the pedal return to firmness briefly.

  • @MadCat360

They dont use any assist dude... manual brakes all the way

  • @brian357 Yeah I don't believe that. True manual brake pedals only move about a quarter inch, maybe a half inch at most. Don't believe me? Try disabling the assist in your car and see how much the pedal moves after a few pumps to bleed the system.

  • @MadCat360 depends on the car your driving. I've driven several manual brake cars (both race ready and road ready) and the brakes move as much as you set them to. Just because brakes are manual doesn't mean they only move so far. It's based off a number of adjustments that can be made for the driver.

  • and they say that cup drivers cant heel/toe

    bullshit!

  • MISS RICKY!!

  • FOOT CAM > HOOD CAM

  • Rudd's "foot cam" on road courses was always one of my favorite things :)
