True, I think Universal wants to see who much profit is out there for JP. The old website is still on though.

Some think that since the script was leaked, Universal didn't want to produce it because people knew what happens in the film, so they wanted to do another story.

Well I think if thy were filming, they would let people know. If there isn't a notice that a film is being made, it's most likely not going to be popular. I don't think major production studios like universal would do that. So far, the latest news is that they need a story.

Yeah, I think so. JP is one of the most successful films in movie history. Universal would have to be very stupid to let go of the series.

Trust me, LANYMANY, the producers have been dishonest about a lot of things during the last few years. They should finally grab themselves from behind the ear and make a good memorial film to Crichton's and Winston's memory. Those two alone were and by all means still are the bloodline of this franchise.

If they finally have the energy to actually devote their time to this "fourquel's" production I simply wish one thing to happen: That the human incompetence is actually much more realistic. To me TLW and JP/// suffer from really out there character behaviour. Atleast the first one got that more right and actually constrained the mishaps that those people could commit. The two sequels so far have no such taste.

What happened to the idea of the killer disease? That sounds like an acceptable story. Could the producers be lying to us saying stuff that isn't true?

The disease plot was to be used for JP3, but they dropped it because they didn't want the third to be the last one, and it was to be reused for IV. I think they would be a great story for the film, but maybe they wanted that to be kept secret, and now everyone know about that, they may be looking for something surprising.

Cool it was Updatted, But i still dont see anything that will happen with JP4. But meh we'll see kinda lost my hopes for it since its more of a backburner project and steven spielberg is off doing 3 or 4 other projects and doesnt have time for it.

Who knows though. Hope im wrong but we'll see if anything happenes after the dvd's are released. I dont think anything will happen atleast until that.

I say maybe 2014 they'll be more specific detail on the franchise.

Well the reason I said JP is coming back is because a new toy line was released recently, JP, LW, and JP3 are rumored to be hitting Bluray soon. So maybe it's to see if the series is still popular among fans. Maybe if the sale profits of the new JP products are a success, a film can be developed faster, though I agree with you about the story.

Maybe it's for the upcoming Bluray films. Or Universal is doing something nice for JP fans. It's the first time the site has been updated in years.
