one of the BEST movies I EVER have seen... I HAD TO WATCH IT TWICE and pause at some points in order to get it though... (probably coz English is not my native)

FIRST time it was a complete chaos for me and I was really angry at Kelly

BTW: ONE THING THEY COULD HAVE DONE BETTER is the start of the movie where the explanation of the happenings goes TOO FAST (for me, at least)

I'm not entirely sure Bai Ling knows what the hell she's talking about regarding her character. I loved the movie to pieces, but her character was just random and kind of hormone driven. I never saw her as "infinite"

I see what the director was trying to do with it, but I think he was trying to hard. The story was convoluted, and the cast was so massive that you never really got to know anybody. A lot of the characters were pointless.

Still, a stylish and interesting flick, just lacking direction... and it also felt like one big complaint about post-9/11 America, and I'm the kind of person who wishes Hollywood would stop bitching about things they don't understand.

I think what Wallace Shawn said about the movie was dead on. It's exactly how I felt about the movie after I finished watching it. I felt like I had just woken up from a bad dream about the future of the United States and the end of the world.

This film was perfect as it hits you on so many levels. Many hate the film, not because they don't get it but personally, I think it's because the film is a hybrid and can't be categorised simply. That and some say it has a terrible script with no direction - are you kidding me?? That film is everything it needed to be, Richard Kelly certainly is ahead of his time and I would gladly sit down and watch Southland Tales again. One of the best movies: ever.

i love the rock and sean william scott- but i cannot believe they made this movie, it was soo bad and confusing. there was a bit where 2 cars were doing "IT" with each other- YES! CARS!! Plz read the scripts and storylines, before u do any movie!!
