Una de las mejores canciones de u2.... increíble desde el principio al fin, todos son necesarios para que esta banda sea lo que es, desde edge con la guitarra .... bateria de larry y bajo y escribiendo canciones Adam y claro el genio de Bono
No one's probably gonna read this, but I’ll say it anyway cuz I feel at least 1 person will. I'm a young designer and graffiti artist, I know there's a million out there but I feel like my art has a unique individual style.
If you just take a min and give me a chance I'll make you a believer. I would love nothing more than to have a loyal following on youtube. If anyone who reads this could press the "THUMBS UP" others will see it. Just a simple button push will make a huge difference.
@xxluvemzyxx absolutely true! dont understand rolling stone´s position....maybe trying to put up the old legends first like berry, dylan, richards, brown and satisfy old readers
Celine realizes her career has been utterly pointless after witnessing that... the expression on her face along with the other smug buffoon she is with is priceless. Like, "who let those guys perform...now we're really screwed!"......
Edge is the engine that drives U2. Without him Bono would just be another big mouth pop star. see POP if you don't believe me, edge to an album off and played around with keys and it sucked. Edge is the reason U2 sounds like U2. Heart and Soul this band has a lot of both.
@TheFly212 What in the name of sweet fuck are you talking about? All of the band members are what makes U2 as being U2. They've been together since the very beginning. You can't replace any of them, or else it would go down the shitter. I've been a U2 fan for years... and even I know this.
Edge is amazing....Playing guitar, singing, making sure bono doesn't mess up his playing, and keeping tempo all at the same time, and he still has room to look awesome doing it! Hes my idol
@lewecca actually that's not all Bono's voice. If you notice the latter part of that vocal intro you can hear the "sustain" being managed by the sound engineering. Bono is really awesome! I know that to be true because I'm a huge fan. But that intro is not all him. - Peace, and Love U2 --- Until the end of the world!
@skrason It'snot an echo...it's coming from the back up singers sitting in the front row. Someone already answered this. And it makes perfect sense and the video proves it. Enjoy!
@EWLGtoday I hear the backup singers too. But there is echo and reverb on his voice. There almost always is, especially when they play smaller venues. I'm not deriding Bono's vocal prowess, he's still the man, but I have a degree in sound engineering and I clearly hear effects on his voice during this performance.
Hard to believe it has been that long ago- I was a still 'emotionally developing' male at that time- aged 25- working in Ca, San Diego-buddies came out to visit me from Chicago- we went to Vegas for this concert- all of us came a great deal closer together- leaving that Arena balling our eyes out- despite our best efforts to control it--did it again just now...what a perfect song by chance, for that moment....happy it was from a bad that had the moral fiber to back it up and make it earnest.
Who is singing the "oooOOO, ooooOOO, OOOOOOOOO" beginning around 5:20. It's not Bono as he's singing "for my heart and soul..." Edge is not wearing a mic neither is Larry. Perhaps it was recorded and added in during the live sound engineering?
@EWLGtoday No they don't, but when U2 were playing here they did. Just as a special occasion. Just like in the Walk On taped in London. This one -> watch?v=nBwrX1MingU
@EWLGtoday Look at the front row of the audience and you will see a group of gospel singers holding mics during the hallelujah part at 4:43. I recorded this when it first aired and you can see it a lot better on TV. I guess she was trying to outdo Bono!
@jakovasaur Wow!!! You are so right...what a catch. Damn you saw that!!! That's one of my favourite parts of the entire video when Bono comes down the steps and they are singing Hallelujah (Praise God/the Almighty).
You made my day!
I do wish they had them come up on stage with the band, but that's now all in the past.

They are always so amazing on the Grammy's. Shows what a great Live act they really are. In your own concert it's much easier to 'fake' certain parts of the show, while at these events the true live value of an artist is inevitably revealed. U2 loves it, other artists like avril lavigne hate it.. I suppose.
For a live performance, this is good. Not as good as the album; few live performances are. (One take, limited equipment, and the performers are usually tired from traveling.) But Bono manages to stay in tune, and to present the emotional nuances with good subtlety. And Edge and Larry are on fire. Nice show. Grade of song: A Grade of this performance: B Grade of video: B Stars: 4

The lyrics speak of "stealing" "all that you steal..." The Bible says thou shalt not steal. So how are U2 "Christian." It's obvious that Paul Hewson is not a Christian. Get over it.

Its a figure of speech. Like the phrase "stealing one's heart".
