This fish was caught on a cheap uptide rod and reel, I would use a sidecast Alvey, still cheap but high capacity as you may hook a Mahseer, load the reel with expensive braid, 65lb+ and use 3/0 hooks of good quality, the rig was a running ledger using 2oz lead, the bait was Raggi paste moulded around the hook the size of a goose egg and the same shape, make sure that the clutch (if the reel has one) is set correctly as the hook may straighten if the line doesn't break
