In 1974 I met her when I was a child and when she was signing a promo picture for me...as I was standing in line after a show...She had a cast on her arm (even showed durring the concert some)...and I asked her "How did you hurt your arm Miss Whynette?"...and she just kept on signing and didnt say a word...like "Dont ask..kid!"...I felt bad for her! She didnt look happy at all. She looked as if she was going to collapse!.In the middle of a tour with a broken arm on pain killers in the rain!..=(
It's true, the Johnny Cash show was incredible. I think it isn't shown on TV today because it would reveal to what an extent modern country and modern music in general has deteriorated to utterly bland commercialized crap.
Why isn't the Johnny Cash show in syndication on one of the 300 cable channels? The diverse level of quality talent he was able to assemble will never be repeated on network television. It took a talent like Johnny Cash to recognize and promote some of the best young talent of the 70's.
BigFloridaCowboy... cowboy's in Florida? Oh yeah just the GAY FREAKIN' ones. Kick back, light a doobey (or in your case a Virginia Slims Menthol) and do what gay buttwipes do, Bogart
Wow someone is off his meds. Yes, there are cowboys down here. I happen to raise cattle, Florida is one of the top cattle producing states. I'm also a big Johnny Cash fan, not sure what I said that made you so angry. God bless you!
OMG, her hair is the bomb! I am collecting ever version of this song she sang so I can compare every sweet and swingin 'do

@bygten88 They were all wigs. You can fit your own long hair under one of those . "Get that Wig Hat off'n yo haid".
But what a voice.
