@cresc There are scorpions that light up in bright colours when shone upon with ultraviolet light and since they have camouflaging colours, it's easier to spot them with an ultraviolet shining torch than an ordinary one.
@robertbluesjohnson Thanks much for uploading. A real eye-opener. I do admire their audacity. Only those of us who were born there know the dangers of this kind of undertaking. Even in the developed parts life can be dangerous, i.e. animals in the rivers etc. I'm glad Jagdeo did agree to conserve the area.
im a proud Guyanese and thanks to the entire staff and everyone that was involved in this. the world needs to know abt this and what Guyana has. thank u so much again
bbc is one of those unique companys making a true service for mankind. i hold them togheter with vlc player, wordpress, spotify, hbo and similair good s__t.
I knew Guyana was beautiful...but not this beautiful...wow.... i just hope the Guyanese who are watching this make every effort to protest against the deforestation of this rainforest.you can put my name on the top of the list.
Thanks to the BBC, the team that went to the Rain Forest in Guyana, and all of the other experts for the production of this video. I just uploaded them, nothing more. I do not deserve any credit.
Also, I do encourage everyone to buy the DVD's when they become available. The BBC needs the financial support so that they can continue this kind of amazing programming.

I've never seen it before. Let's bottle it and take it out of it's natural habitat. We'll assume it's not the only one of it's kind...
My family is guyanese, and I love animals enormously, but isn't there a certain amount of irony in what the bug man is doing?
