  • Is this real?

  • maybe not so deadly. Like the guy getting the arrow near the car could have been snagged by some cable-laced arrow.

  • I like it

  • what song is that in the end credits? great job BTW!

  • @nightstrike88 Yes! I would also like to know the music

  • MALISIMOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • green arrow is more of a assasin in this vid

  • Amazing work. Better quality than those SciFi channel made for TV movies, that' s for damn sure.

  • bows and swords are cool

the live if it will come will have a super prison coool it stood about it on mtv 2008

  • Interesting fact: Heros have been known to kill on a regular basis Punisher, Wolverine deadpool and thats just to name a few. it happens get over it

  • @MrUltimatedeadpool except that all the characters you named are typically referred to in comic circles as "anti-heroes" guys that do the right thing, but by their own rules...'course, i also noticed all of them were marvel guys...traditionally DC goes by the rule: "you kill, you're a villian"....

  • i love GREEN Arrow

  • Nice look, but Green Arrow is not a killer...he's a hero...and no hero would shoot a foe in the back.

  • He's not a hero....he's a hunter playing at being a hero. Read "Cry for Justice" or "Longbow Hunters".

  • Read both...liked neither. I realize in this bold new narcissistic world, ethics and moral codes might seem silly. But, without them, there is no heroism. And, if Green Arrow is not a hero, why would we care about him? You should read Denny O'Neil's treatment of the charactor. And, for the record, hunters don't shoot their prey in the back either. That's just poor sportsmanship

  • Sorry you didn't like either. "Cry for Justice" was shoty story telling, but "Longbow Hunters" was excellent. Not every "Hero" has to fit the ethics and moral code of someone like Superman. If all Heroes were the same, we wouldn't read them either. And for the record.... ask a real hunter sometime where the perfect kill-shot is on a deer. They will most likely say, the upper 1/3 of the torso, above the front shoulder.....technically, part of what is considered his back. (lungs or spinal cord.)

  • Also.. Superman killed three people that were already at his mercy. That didn't happen in this "bold new narcissistic world", it happened over 25 years ago. Look it up. It was an act of vengeance, to mass murderers, just like in this the Arrow in this trailer, and in "Cry for Justice". Batman also killed people...when you ask?? Issues written in the 1940's, I guess it was a "Bold world" then too...

  • that's why spider-man is a bit boring sometimes cuz he's too good until venom arrives

  • true but sometimes they havta get mean xP

  • Impressive i was expecting a few edited clips from other movies or a stupid fan film but this is actually very impressive

  • Not bad, I'm usually skeptical about fan videos cause they end up being dorky in a bad way. This is totally legit, I hope Warner Bros. comes out with a Green Arrow film soon. Cause those guys are slow when it comes to DC titals. They should follow the Kevin Smith comics. Green Arrow & Batman and other badass characters that are not like Superman should have something like a Marvel Knight title.

  • who's the greatest foe of the green arrow ??

  • me......lol idk

  • Merlyn, the Magician. He's an archer, just like Green Arrow

  • me too.

  • green arrow is the only dc comic hero i actully like im a marvel fan

  • You don't even like Superman or Batman?

  • no. i dont hate supermna i just think hes overated cuz hes the simples superhero you could come up with and i just done like batman

  • DUH they have there own movies

  • batman is cool, cause he has weaknesses, he is a mortal man doing extrondinary things, superman as thezamzie said is overated cause he is just doin wat he was born 2 do and he has no weaknesses, except kryptonite, and how many shards of those r on earth alone, 5 maybe 6

  • yea i kno hey, and i like batman as well, other than that, dc is pretty bad, im a marvel man, u gotta fav marvel character btw

  • Not all DC heroes are bad. They invented the green lanterns, 3 of the most iconic superheroes in the world, 4 of the greatest villains ever, plus, they have vertigo and Alan Moore, can't get any better then that.

  • im a marvel fan too, but i think batman is awsome too. i dont like the other just green arrow and batman cause they have no real powers and they kick some ass

  • um well ok but i only like superman and green arrow in dc i dont like batman and i dont care that you do.

  • well i dont care eitherr what you like or dislike. i was just saying that cause you said that you like GA so..

  • 4.never esen him use a blade but doens't mean he doesn't, but still wouldn't like it ahaha.

alot of problem these days with directors making movies out of comics and other crap is that its ruined, bad plot, bad choices of casts, and the characters completly wrong.

    dont' make their mistakes :P

  • dcent vid considering its fan made. but dontlike the fact that ollie's killing 'everyone ' he comes across. its not his style. The acting IS pretty good man well done =]. but

    1. like i said don't like the killing, its not DC style ,there are times he does but its not his style

    2. ollie here gives me the impression that his Assassin creed.

    3. the trick arrows he stopped using once he got with his son again. but shoudl still use em =[

  • Awesome! I love the green arrow. Its really cool how I recognize the location of one of the scenes too. Where the green arrow shoots a guy in front of the taqueria, its in San Francisco outside of the Stockton tunnel. Pretty awesome, since I'm right there a lot.

  • Natas taught him the Sword at exile island, then became masterswordsman.. green arrow even fought Red Hood with his sword.

  • a green arrow movie would be cool, but who would play him?

  • the guy who played jay in clerks

  • During the Mike Grell run of Green Arrow it wasn't uncommon for Ollie to use lethal force on his enemies, judging by that, the generally gritty style of this trailer, and the costume design chosen (going with the green hooded tunic, which was used during Grell's run, as opposed to the more traditional tri-corner hat design) I think it's safe to say the creators of this film were highly influenced by that incarnation of the character. I'd like to see a Green Arrow movie, actually.

  • He uses a sword now, but he doesnt kill. like at all. thats why one of the arrows has a boxing glove on it

  • I know this is a fan made film, but since when does Green Arrow kill people and use a sword. I am not trying to ruin it for you and I apologize but I consider myself a fan too.

  • Actually if you read up on it, he is a master swordsmen though I don't think I personally have ever seen him use one.

  • ok thanks

  • Np, but your right, he doesn't kill as far as I know

  • is this a real movie?

  • I highly doubt it.

  • i don't think GA would ever shoot someone in the back. That said, this is good fan work, well done!

  • green arrow has a sword? is it offical?

  • It doesn't look like they did a good job of Green Arrow... From what I saw there, they made him into more of a "freelance assassin" than the hero he's supposed to be.

  • Josh Holloway should play the green arrow in the movie

  • The real Green arrow movie is due in 2010, casting hasn't been confirmed but Jason Mewes has said he wants to play the character.

  • I saw that on Wikipedia, too. Casting Jason Mewes would kill this movie. Let's all pray to Jack Kirby that it doesn't happen.

  • This would be awesome. I don't care about fancy effects, just give me the GREEN ARROW!~

  • This is one of the gayest tRailers. if they made this movie now it would be worse than the hulks. if they havegreat cast and more than just pointy arrows.

  • wendy ...wasnt she the second speedy, the HIV posotive girl?

  • No, that's Mia Dearden.

  • so so wrong first of all:he doesnt use a sword

second:he uses all kind of arrows like missle arrows poison arrows etc.

lastly:ppl arent scared of him in the comic book the only one that ppl r scared of is batman

  • There was a period of time when he did use a sword and there was also a time in the comics where he used his arrows to kill and was gritty. These aspects may be retconned now, I'm not sure...

  • Batman taught him the sword

  • Well Done!!!

  • yes

  • is this fan-made?

  • THIS is why I respect fan made vids SO much more than bullshit like Smallville or birds of prey, They respect the source material

  • neutron54, this is fake, cant you tell?

  • Fake or not, These fan vids are ALWAYS more accurate than the bulshit that comes out

  • That's mostly because unless a TV show offers something that people can't get in the comics, there's no reason to do it. If TV writers were restricted to the source material, there'd be no room for anything fresh. It would be predictable to comic book fans, which means that the people with the most reason to watch a comics show would be most bored.

Sacred as the comics are, I don't see anything wrong with branching out and taking a few liberties in the name of making a show more entertaining.

  • this movie is gonna be a piece of crap... my favorite superhero reduced a silver screen piece of crap...

  • does no one know that long bow hunters was the name of the comic this was based on?! I mean if you've read that you wouldnt be saying this is to dark and its not green arrow...its exactly what it should be!

  • I would be more afraid of the Green Arrow if he wore a gorilla suit.

  • a fan work I felt that it satisfied a decent trailer.

  • Honestly I felt they did an ok job. Green Arrow is my second favorite superhero and I think that for a fan made film it was pretty epic. Now if I wanted to start bitching about inaccuracies I would be going on for a while, but I liked the feel of it. It had a very dark Gothic feel, which admittedly is more Gotham's MO it works. I also felt you did well on the outfit and the characters. Felt like it could be made into a movie. I wouldn't watch it if it was officially Hollywood produced, but for-

  • This whole thing was just one big facepalm...

  • you've gotta be kiddin me! if this isn't a whole bunch a crap, this movie is gonna suck. and i was hopin i could contact steven spielberg and persuade him to make a green arrow movie. if he did one, it'd be so much better. green arrow wielding a sword is so wrong it ain't even funny. he only uses a bow and arrow. if this is true, i ain't seein this piece of crap.

  • the gree narrow in theatres 2010.. currently being produced and in production and he DOES kill when he only shot to hurt

    never kill...

  • I'm all for the original design of the Green Arrow. That mustache kicks ass.

And I mean come on... the costume takes classic to a whole other level.

Plus it just fits his character better.

I think this trailer was okay... but it was far too dark to give it a real Green Arrow feel. It's almost like they tried to play it up like Gotham City.

  • this was a good short film except... Does he actually ever kill people in the comics? He has trick arrows that are supposed to do different things. I know this is just a low budget film but all you see him do it shoot his arrows into people.

  • However, he has always been recognized as among the best swordsmen in the DC Universe, so it does make sense they added a sword to the character. Green Arrow doesn't normally kill his opponents, as they show him here either, but it adds to the character quite a bit. Better than that lame Smallville take on the character at least

  • Its unfortunate that a GA movie won't be made til 2011 because of Batman and Superman movies, i hope they make it a film series and that he uses high tech equipment like in Smallville with his bow and mini crossbow and sunglasses

  • I'm actually okay with the interpretation on Smallville. They make a point of showing how talented of an archer he is, and anything that gets GA more exposure in the mainstream is a plus.

  • um..just to let u know green arrow doesnt use a fricken sword....that would explain..."Arrow"

  • yes he does, he used it to fight deathstroke idiot

  • Okay, those still shots of injuries are real. Major points off.

  • very well done and looks good ...feel bad for all those lame ass fan boys posts here jeez man its a comic book character he can be told anyway and I like the smallville style archer rider look, much more realistic and menacing then his lame leotards looking like a campy robinhood/peterpan in the comics

  • It's cool, but it's not Green Arrow.

  • 'course not. this is fan-made =p

  • True, but... The sword? Lol. It's well made, I'll give it that.

  • 1st mistake ur using Wiki as a primary source

2nd green arrow HAS killed BUT the guilt he went through was more then he could ever handle, which is why he uses TRICK arrows ex. Boxing Glove Arrows. Connor on the other hand uses more traditional arrows, along with Red Arrow. A perfect example is in Green Lantern: Rebirth, when the Black Hand was trying to steal Hal's former Lantern, and Arrow and speedy were just going to arrest him, and how freaked out Arrow was when hal was about to kill Hand.

  • man ur a dumbass if u even read the comics the green arrow swore to never kill anyone

  • You, sir, need to read more comics. Heck, even looking up Green Arrow on Wikipedia would be enlightening enough to show you that Green Arrow can, has, and in all likelihood WILL kill.

  • Love the outfit!!

  • This is retarded.

  • This is crap. The original Green Arrow had a green mask and cap with a feather, not looking like Robin Hood. His costume sucks.

  • um that is what robin hood looked like

  • -.- Gee, I wonder if maybe Green Arrow was trying to emulate that. *GASP* MAYBE.

  • yeha but when you think about it as a modern look is far beter anyone who thinks they want to watch a movie or a live action series of a guy in present times dressed like a gay robin hood from the old 40's bw movies has to be joking. don't you think that the ranger look is more suitable and still gives that classic look he was going for?

  • "Far better" is an opinion. No, I don't like the purely ranger look. Its too obvious and I think the hood is needed on the tunic. I think a lot of the modernizations of costumes make them look stupid. Look at Batman's costume in Dark Knight. It was ugly. Awesome movie, bad costume.

(Also, hate to burst your bubble, but Robin Hood was gay...so that "gay Robin Hood" comment is a bit redundant. It was in the 15th century that monks fearing his reputation was compromised that added Maid Marion. :P)

  • i agree with you there about the dark knight , robin gay? I think you need to do more history checking cause there was nothing in the history books that show robin was ever gay , there has been alot of debate on who maid marion realy is if she did exist...basicaly robin hood is up there with king arthur...all debatable if they existed or was accurate in there depictions. well come on you want some guy in leotards and a dumb triangle hat with a feather and beard alright but to be far rangers rock

  • Yes. Robin Hood was gay. Come on now, "Merry Men"? I think you are the one who needs to check into history. o.O; I've actually looked into this stuff after seeing a special on the History Channel...I didn't believe it myself until I found various sources stating the same. While Robin Hood did in a sense exist, he's been beefed up recently. And OBVIOUSLY, King Arthur never existed. Lol.

And no, rangers don't rock. Sorry.

  • yeah I am a history major! and it was Stephen Knight who wrote about him being gay and well his only real background on it was a sketch for a "story" that made him appear like he was a homo! theres still no evidence as for merry men...comeon! king arthur is still up for debate after all merlin did exist so why not the king but thats beside the point I'm talking about superheroes and tights not history. Knight was only trying to get publicity

  • As am I a history major, as well as an English literature major. King Arthur is a story. End story. I'd love to see this "evidence" of Merlin existing. Stephen Knight was one of many, including the original authors...or oh! Have you not actually read some original accounts? This isn't even worth discussing anymore.

  • as i mentioned before thats not what i'm getting into buddy i just placed my opinion on what i like and you tried to be a smart ass you you dunno when to backdown. I'm talking about how I like the look of this costume and you had to go on about robin hood? come on man you're just a braggard who can't impress anyone else with his intelec so comes on youtube.geez you just wanna stir up retarded youtube wall fights

  • though one thing i have to agree i hate the sunglasses I prefer the mask but to be honest there isn't much of a difference in the old costume and this one just a hood really ga costume was basic after all, though i miss the boxing glove arrows

  • Hey you think these windbags ever notice that...Batman is a emulation of who kids...zorro!

  • This is crap. I was expecting something a lot more cool but nope. Instead a hero kills like this. Man I think these guys don't know the facts of Green Arrow. He doesn't kill. He neutralizes them not by killing but by disarming or making sleep.

  • obviously you didn't read the comic, GREEN ARROW THE LONGBOW HUNTERS

  • The hell? Where are the trick arrows? I'm sorry, but without the trick arrows or the smart mouth, this just fails.

  • HAHA nice man, good for a fan made trailer. and good job sneaking in Black Canary(Dinah Lance) i know not many people caught that....lol

  • the green arrow is the wussies, pussiest "superhero"...shooting arrows? gimme a gun and i will kill him.

  • Would that be before or after he shoots an arrow down the barrel and makes it blow your hand off, then puts an aluminum shaft through your spleen?

  • before

  • Wrong answer. Green Arrow's faster on the trigger and has better aim, and has proved it on numerous occasions.

  • trigger? he fires a gun now? it is quicker to shoot a gun then for ANY man to take out an arrow and draw it back in a bow. he also lacks any form of precognitive intuition to alert him to my presence. i could easily shoot him. (i bet you're counting down to halloween so you can finally dress as him again without being ridiculed).

  • Green Arrow reacts faster, aims faster, and moves faster. He also has top-level intuitive abilities - he'll know you're there before even you do.

  • there is nothing in the comics that establishes 'top level' intuitive abilities. you are making that up.

  • Of course, I suppose the deeper question here is why we're debating the merits of a comic book hero who, by literary necessity, has already proven superior to any number of firearm-wielding opponents.

  • "by literary necessity" he proved he is superior? what the hell...do you mean the writers just make it up so it doesn't matter?

  • Sort of. There'd be no point in having a superhero vulnerable to guns - so Green Arrow was made good enough to counter them effectively.

Green Arrow spent his origin on a desert island, and he's proven in the comics that his awareness of his surroundings is superior to that of the average human.

  • yeah...being on a deserted island really hones that awareness...

  • If you wanted to get more technical.Other than being on a desert Island he has also hired the worlds best to train him.Assasins, bowmen, martial artists, what have you. So as stated before it is logical the way its explained that a man that trained can outsmart a dumb thug with a gun.

  • ahhahaha roflmao

  • Green Arrow doesn't kill ANYMORE. But he did in The Longbow Hunters and the in the comics in the 80's.

  • Green Arrow used to be averse to killing but he got increasingly ruthless in the 1990s.

  • Dude, Green Arrow murdering people? Maybe you should do The Punisher.

  • Green Arrow does use lethal force, actually.

read the Longbow Hunters by Mike Grell

  • The video was well done, but disturbing. The Green Arrow doesn't use lethal force. This video is the equivalent of giving Batman an UZI. Again, nice video but very poor form on the representation of The Green Arrow.

  • Excellent!

  • Wait im confused

did you make this or did someone else

it's awesome if you made it

not as good as the one guy who made that Robin video but i was always more into Robin

    still

    loved it

  • sweeet

  • Green Arrow is cool but The Flash is the best!

  • that wasnt the best I love Green Arrow so much and i was like well i wont be watching that movie and ninjabrothers is right he doesnt like to kill he has trick arrows to knock the bad guys out to let the cops get him

  • Uh, green arrow doesn't kill unless he completely needs to.... hence the boxing glove arrows...

  • Green Arrow was wayyy cooler in Smallville!

  • Looks like it was made by a director just out of the porn business; or a made for tv movie

  • Yeah, besides let's get real; in extreme measures a kill shot is necessary, there's no reason why a vigilante shouldn't use lethal force (that's what divides down to earth comics from P.C.-ridden kiddies versions)

  • There is the corny, feather in the cap Green Arrow with the boxing glove arrow, and then there is Mike Grell's darker version of Green Arrow. If you haven't read the "Long Bow Hunter" series, read it. In it you will find that Green Arrow does kill, occasionally. If you didn't know that, than you don't know Green Arrow. Read it.

  • The Green Arrow does use a sword but not often

  • Green Arrow is like the best hero, in my opinion, and he would definitely not go kill people. He doesn't even have a sword... and he doesn't wear his hood that much...

  • I have to agree that the killing is completely out of character. There are options to comic booky 'Boxing Glove Arrows'. Arrows with 1" metal balls on the end that would have served as same purpose. I would have liked to have seen some of the more interesting arrows like one shoots a zip line for Arrow to move from rooftop to rooftop.

Acting was good and the visuals very nice. Composition and cutting - very professional.

    Luck w/your next project

  • Green Arrow is one of the best and most compelling comic characters of all time.

  • that fucking suck

  • I thought Green Arrow was against killing? Hence the fist-arrows?

  • Sorry Guy

good affort but a Hero like green Arrow would never do such a brutal strike.

This is more the way of the Punischer

no i dont like your plot

  • Have you been buried in comics in your mom's basement that smells like old tube sock cum for so long that you never learned how to spell? Jesus Christ man, "Punischer" How the fuck did you get a c into that word?

  • green arrow doesn't have a sword!

  • very cool.

  • this is FAN MADE.

so many haters in the comments, none of em with a brain.

  • this is the old green arrow movie, this aint the real 1...well the recent 1....so dont worry

  • ...the Dinah Lance, I mean--although it'd be hard to do her worse than DC has lately.

  • DO NOT WANT.

  • That is NOT Dinah Lance AT ALL.

  • this looks so stupid, the action looks really bad

  • dude they should do aquaman instead

  • wow dude green arrow is supposed to be awsome wtf is this gaywad

  • not bad

  • this looks soooo lame

  • Wait, green arrow is a HERO not a KILLER i can understand if a super has no choice but hes the 1 one i seen kill over 5 people including in a trailer. other than that it looks convicing

  • it looked good in the begginning, and then i understood it was another horrible disaster movie

  • It's been a long time since I read it, but isn't the plot of this based on THE LONGBOW HUNTERS. I vaguely remember Ollie going after some businessman who then brings in an assassin, and some other plot about a man who mutilates and kills women. Can anyone confirm this?

  • For a fan-made trailer, this is pretty impressive. They used actual actors (the business man was very convincing) and a realistic script. The effects under the titles was good, and I'm even a bit impressed with the work that went into the costume. Great job, guys.

  • No, Ollie wouldn't really go about killing criminals like that. But then, neither would Batman, but that didn't stop him from mowing down bad guys in the crappy 1989 Film. But then, maybe that movie was based solely on Batman's portrayal in The Dark Knight Returns.

So, perhaps, The makers of this Trailer based their Green Arrow on the Long Bow Hunters version, but that's just me guessing.

  • Great stuff, but I wish they'd have used the 'robin hood' style look for the thing. It's a little corny, but classic.

Also, would Green Arrow really kill someone, let alone several people?

  • Very good, he looks like Oliver Queen.

  • It was good but could have been lit better.

  • i didnt like this that much? u dont get any of the story line!

  • i love matt but the guy who played him on smallville should play the arrow in the movie

  • Yeah

  • I've Heard That Theres Going to Be A Full Length Movie in Theaters With Matt Damon As Green Arrow

  • Damon? O, please God, no.

  • Hey It's Just A Rumor And While He's Not My First Choice I Wouldn't Really Care If It Was Him

  • it would be good if it was 1987

  • i don't like the costume. they should have done something slicker like the costume on smallville.

  • Exactely what I think.

  • Great looking trailer. My only gripe is the music. It sounds way too much like Superman or Batman scores. If you used something orechestral, yet actiony(is that a word?) try something like David Arkenstone's 'Atlantis' or others. Vangelis is another option.

  • All in all, an well-made fan trailer. I always like seeing Green Arrow come to life, whether it's Smallville, JLU, or this. Not on par with Grayson, but then again, no fan trailer made so far really is.

  • hey, that's pretty good.
