@iplaydrumsye I record and mix Jake's drum covers (I also film them); it's a blend of both the mics (room mics too) as well as samples we made of the kit at a different studio through neve pre's and really nice mics that we don't own. we also lock the drums in as well so they are tight with the song...then bussing and eq'ing and compressing, etc...but it all starts with great sounding drums, and properly tuning them and hitting them hard, which you can tell jake does pretty well!
